Yes it's mostly due to LSS but I mentioned YQY because he is the clan head of the Ye family (their dad gave up this position coz it was bothersome for him). Since YQY already invited TTJ to have a meal with him, it legitimizes TTJ presence at the banquet. Nobody can question him being there.😊

These are great insights into the characters.

LSS is very black and white about what what is good or bad person. Remember she is a very young immortal who lived in a world of demons and the Devil God terrorizing/annihilating sects. She is also suffering from the trauma of the killing of her father and sect so for her, any action related to the practice of the dark arts is already bad regardless of any provocation. She also thinks that since TTJ has the evil bone, it gives him a predisposition towards evil (which is true as seen by how he is goaded by ADG's voice and how he enjoyed the power after absorbing the nightmare demon).
As for TTJ, he is just trying to survive and cannot distinguish that his actions/inaction can be considered evil by YXW. Like you said felt betrayed when YXW took a demon's side(PR) over him. He couldn't understand that YXW was stopping him from falling further into being evil by stopping his killings. His need for more power and independence eventually led him to leave Sheng for Jing.
These two are really at odds and it is saddening that they couldn't have that simple life that TTJ wanted after all.

With the influence of YXW/LSS and YQY, TTJ was able to join the NY celebration but his sitting apart from the family still denotes that he is an outsider. If nothing else had happened, I'm guessing he would have gradually been accepted as a real family member. Unfortunately, fate has other plans for him. It was good that he was able to get nice memories with YXW before he finally left for the Jing kingdom.

Same! I'd have preferred to see more PR and YQY instead of that other made-up for drama nonsense pairing.
