No. It follows the BE in the novel. It closes off the karmic cycle for the last 10000 years. Because TTJ paid off karmic debts that he didn't even owe in the first place, he was able to survive. He was reborn 1000 years later and met LSS again. Those are the last five HE chapters in the book.

Try to watch the last episode. It is bittersweet but really has a happy open ending. This has a very hopeful message of loving the world and all its creations. TTJ looks happy and at peace. I personally believe that like in the novel he will also be reborn after some time.

It's really too bad the drama had to cut out a lot bec.of govt.regulations. The drama team also felt this would be the right ending.

This Sheng emperor is abominable. He was willing to sacrifice the Ye family and his soldiers just to strike against TTJ coz of his ego. He deserves to lose his kingdom.

I think PR was being loyal to YXW by not telling TTJ. After all she saved her 2x already. She might also be unsure of TTJ's motives for seeking YXW.

It's a good thing YXW's letter reached her "family" so they were reassured.

Here comes Xixi's ship: PR + YXW! Haha! YXW heals PR using the WAJ even though she will experience backlash from it. I love their dynamics. PR hates getting called Little Fox and insists on Sister Fox. Considering she is thousands of years old, she should be called "da jie". 😂 It's so nice that YXW is so protective of her "brother" and checking what PR's intentions are.
