Yes the Sheng king is paranoid. He sees XL's potential and is scared of it. Remember he wanted TTJ to spy on old Gen.Ye and XL after XL became engaged to Bitchang? He doesn't want to overthrown.

Some have it, some don't but having an immortal bone/divine essence is like a potential to be immortal if you work on it. For ex., XL is mortal but he is gifted so when he went to Scholar Pang's sect, he excelled in cultivation. In the 2nd timeline, XL actually did become an immortal after he died and he became LSS sect brother in the future - the one we saw in ep.1.
Compare this to YQY who also went to the same sect for cultivation but realized he was bad at it so he will have no chance at becoming an immortal (same as TTJ) if there aren't any intervening factors ( cue LSS and PR haha!).
SJ used her divine essence to replace the Water Calming Crystal that MY absorbed.
Just to clarify, she said TTJ doesn't have an immortal bone. Meaning he cannot become an immortal even if he practices cultivation. If he unifies his body, mind and heart, he can create an internal elixir that can be used for the charms but that's all. He cannot progress further in the higher levels.
Like XL said, YQY is humanistic so he cares for all - not just people from his kingdom. Everyone was shocked because such a statement is considered treason since the king is still alive. This is esp.true since XL is a favored prince of the people and YQY is a general backed by the powerful Ye Clan so if they want to, they can instigate an uprising and get rid of the current king. If someone hears of what YQY said and reports to the king, both of their heads will roll.

Yes, he is really like a sponge just soaking everything in. He learns quickly and remembers well. If he got love and learned how to love earlier, would he have avoided consuming the nightmare demon? I think that was really the point of no return coz the desire for power just keeps growing from then on.
I kept crying in this ep - the growing of TTJ's love threads, YXW getting TTJ his green coat and apologizing for the delay, and that conversation between our babies in the end. Goodness my heart! π
