Iโve never watched c-dramas before, is this a good one to start with?
Hmmm this one might be an intense intro to Cdramas especially since its a xianxia. However, many of us love it because of the acting prowess and chemistry between the leads. The world building is also very complex so there are many storylines within the main one. The CGI and costumes are great.

I am thinking this is a script/directing lapse. In the drama, LSS goes to the museoleum directly after he passes away so no grass should have been there because it was not overgrown when he went there while she was sleeping in his Bo're dream. YQY was probably the one who made sure the tombs were well-kept during his time as the Jing emperor.
In the novel that would make sense because LSS went to the museoleum 100 years after TTJ died so it is overgrown with grass.

I found it strange too when I first started watching xianxia coz I mean what if you turn over and skewer your head with the pins. LOl! I did learn that a practical reason for keeping the accessories is for expediency in shooting since they don't shoot in a linear fashion and have many scenes to finish in a day. This is esp.true for the main actors. Bitchang doesn't have a lot of scenes at this part so she can remove hers. ๐คฃ
That OST is my fave too and like you, only fully noticed it during the water festival scene. It's nice to catch that they started using it at the end of ep3 and beginning of ep4 for TTJ's parents wedding.
