As for Devil God 1.0, he was defeated by the gods but before that he made an insurance by having a vessel baby that will have his Evil Bone. This baby will be TTJ. His mom's tribe made this deal with Devil God 1.0 in exchange for special powers ( I think this includes the power to communicate with animals - not sure about this part anymore; please correct my failing memory).
Anyways, in the mortal arc, YXW/LSS swapped her immortal essence with TTJ's Evil Bone thus stopping TTJ Devil God 3.0 from ever existing. He cultivates to be an immortal instead to do good for the world as YXW/LSS wished before she died.

However, in another timeline, TTJ 2.0 still exists (the one we saw in the 1st ep. who is on a killing spree in Li Susu's world 500 years later). So technically, there is still a Devil God.

Dunno how the drama will play out the immortal arc because they have been changing parts of the story anyways... 😊

Curved Jade was a great character and really helped LSS a lot. It consoled, supported, cried and even sacrificed its existence for her. 😭🤧

It probably would be hard to adapt a "talking bracelet" in a drama so they removed it.

I had to reread it coz it's been awhile.

He basically stayed with her corpse every day - pinned flowers in her hair, put on make-up and tell her stories about his childhood. After a while though, because he doesn't have enough weak water, her body starts to decompose. He stopped directly touching her because mortal Qi is turbid so he knows that she will decay faster if he does.

The part where he says "Time to make YXW happy" was before he went to YBC in jail. I think he meant to continue mentally torturing YBC while she is being tortured by and bitten by the snakes (YBC is afraid of them) to get the feeling of satisfaction from her suffering. Making her suffer is payback for what she did to YXW so TTJ thinks this will make YXW "happy". He is pretty crazy at this point.

TMOPB was actually the 1st xianxia I saw. Mark Chao's portrayal was very good and steady. LYX is more bombastic, I say! 😂 I love them both!

It's a matter of flow I guess. For example, the first 8 eps were evenly paced then the next 2-3 eps leading to TTJ being king were sped up. Then the dream arc slowed down so much (this part was very short in the novel but I think production spent so much money on this arc so they decided to keep as much footage as they could) before they resumed the current mortal arc.

Production did the best they could considering the cutdown from 56 to 40 eps so I still appreciate it. These ever changing regulations suck though.
