Lol, I think it's neither. The main part is the viewers and their perspective, meaning abstract while the characters are all proxy.
And to be frank most people including me dont like abstract stories

It feels like the base story has changed completely during the course of the series.
The series seemed to be based on a character named Joon Woong in the first half and now it feels like its not based on him at all.

No there is more to it than just the anabelle part, all of his dialogues, his character in the 1st 2 episodes doesnt match with the next set of episodes or the remaining series at all.

The series started of good (the starting of 1st episode), got bad then worse but the last few episodes are comparatively good than the previous ones

Not sure how this brainless drama got 8 rating on MDL, I think since the series ended just yesterday more people are yet to watch it whole.

starting 7th now. I normally binge watch series at good speed (average 1.7). I am unable to focus in this one, its too illogical and taking breaks for insta, learning spanish etc

I'm not sure why I'm still watching this series.
Except for crying scenes, most actors seemed to do good acting, it seems like their acting is not matching with the illogical script because of the direction
