Agreed, the budget for Asian series is a show stopper there but I have noticed that slowly netflix is increasing its asian content and the scope on the platform.

I think the leads would be better with other BL actors, I dont see the romantic chemistry between the two.
It might be the case that viewers are saying they have romantic chemistry looking at their bromance. For me any kind of intimacy specifically kisses seem forced between them ( not just in this series)
