the drama is okay but honestly BOY is better than DY

spotted this 'error' as well... not sure about the age but plot wise BOY follows the novel better. it's kinda ironic cuz the script of DY is also written by the author (but i guess there are too many details and characters so he cant remember hhhh he even once mentioned li hongyi is remembers details better than him)

the author addressed him in the recent stream :) liuyue is out exploring jianghu w/ his buddy mochen~

BOY dongman is called Great Journey of Teenagers (s2 onwards on Youku) / Youth and Golden Coffin (s1 on iQiyi)

Dashing Youth is the prequel of Blood of Youth
You can watch Blood of Youth w/o having the context of the other 2 novels/drama/dongman :)

The author actually wrote BOY before DY and the drama + dongman of BOY was released earlier as well, so no issues if you start with BOY first :) Though of course you will be spoiled with the endings of the characters in Dashing Youth if you start w/ BOY first

and TLDR is a spin off so you can watch it seperately :)

we will be getting season 2 of BOY but Li Hongyi has previously shared he isnt sure if they can even begin filming next yr because the author is still working on the script but what we can look forward to next year is the spin-off of the series, "Tales of Dark River" (暗河传) which is currently being filmed right now

Dashing Youth airs today and it is set about 20 yrs before the BOY timeline focused on Baili Dongjun and the other big masters seen in BOY

Hello :) Actually nǔ [e.g: 努力 (nǔ lì )] and nü [e.g: 美女 (měi nǚ)] are different pronounications so it won't be correct to say it's for the third tone only! The reason why nǚ is spelled as nv is because in the standard keyboard format we can't type nǚ so it ǚ was replaced with v to become nv

because that's the pinyin in chinese :) nǚ and nu is different pronounciation, so to get nǚ, we type nv instead
