assuming that you are genuinely criticising an actor and are not a hater, I really liked her acting in the drama…
I actually do understand what you are talking about, for me at least having prior experiences with the actors really tells you to differentiate between the characters, so in that instance her "demure" or like even minimized acting makes sense with the drama at this point I think (I hope I'm not proven wrong) . and yes we will see how this pans out, have a good day
why was it kept away from me all this while? To put it in context, I'm an avid xianxia watcher and have heard great things about TSL on Twitter but never really came close to watching it. Call it luck or some divine intervention, I was recommended the first episode on YouTube, and not even 2 weeks later, I was on the last episode.
I loved the way that the story flowed and especially for the sisters, they are everything to me. Also I have to toast to the CGI department on their work, it's just a delight to watch. Lastly I should not even talk about the male leads and the supporting characters when the only way you'll know their worth is when you watch the drama. Especially their short lived mortal tribulations were something I have enjoyed a lot (I return to those episodes one too many times at this point) but anyways it's a must watch, no matter which year you are watching it in.
This is my first SZE drama but she seems a bit wooden in the beginning. She is just staring straight, where are…
assuming that you are genuinely criticising an actor and are not a hater, I really liked her acting in the drama the bond, she has a lot to offer in terms of expressions as well as dialogue delivery so I think you should watch a few more EPs to see where it goes
I just watched ep 15 and what a show. I started it thinking it'd be xianxia just like the others but the way it scratches an itch in my brain. especially there's something about xie xuechen as a protagonist (my first zbb show) that impresses me, even though the world is on his shoulders he still cherishes his love and isn't unavailable or self punishing. also mu xuanling the woman you are like she decided and she stuck with it even if things changed, she wanted to see it through the end like we stan also sorry I like nan xuyue no matter what this man kinda resonates with the "I am always late" trope and it's so interesting to me ALSO THE PLOT ISTG I DON'T WANNA SPOIL BUT THIS IS HOW YOU DO A PLOT THAT KEEPS THE VIEWERS ON EDGE, this show really exceeded my expectations and this is coming from a serial xianxia watcher like I'm surprised
Do not let the comments hold you back and give it a chance. I started the first ep four times and dropped it and…
also the main couple has immense chemistry and the whole trope of single mother was not treated as some kind of stigma ,nannan was qingluo's strength and not weakness and the way he loved his mom was quite lovely also.
Do not let the comments hold you back and give it a chance. I started the first ep four times and dropped it and then decided to start it finally and ended the series in 4-5 days. Although I went in because of Liu Xueyi but Wang ziwei's acting as Qingluo surprised me. Not going to spoil but even though the plot was mostly predictable, as it was a short webdrama, I went in with low expectations and it was cute and silly, even the questionable arcs flowed nicely, all in all I enjoyed the show. Especially the dynamics between the characters was quite refreshing after watching heavy dramas aired in 2024. Also the plot for most parts is quite tight also, it spends more times on the main characters and the villains are just treated as is, perfect for a 24 ep drama.
I just finished it and as someone who has read way too many comments, but still stuck through for the characters, this show did not disappoint me, even the ending makes a lot of sense if you rewatch it or even listen to the osts. That being said,y'all have to at least watch the whole thing to judge it fairly,
I know I'm commenting here too soon but as of now I really enjoy the show. Although most of the criticism here is nothing short of the boring or the dragging or even other stuff to me it feels like a good pacing.
At the moment, I am seeing it as a quite real experience, even the villains have empathy for their people, even the protagonist have grey areas and an immoral streak and that is normal to me actually.
The show has stated one too many times that no matter what these people do, they are still humans and their ambitions of revenge or power or even stability is not higher than their human-ness if that makes sense.
Despite all this being said, I never really thought that the drama would be sensational or fast paced as I've watched one too many royal cdramas and can probably guess things, but even then this show surprised me in its ways especially how the main characters are written and how their suffering despite being their strength, makes them even more vulnerable and weak.
