I knew the fifth princess seemed familiar she is Wang Zi Wei from Qing Luo.
She is Ming Lan maid in The Story of Minglan. Some other cast members from SOM are here too like Kira Shi who plays Molan.

From the preview it seems ss will learn her lesson on ep 38.
Probably 37. When she continues to try and handle everything herself only for it all to backfire. 38 is where she grows.
On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2 Aug 2, 2022
LBY and CSS have the same headstrong personality. The difference is that LBY has more real world experience, where CSS does not. She is not the type to learn by listening. She has to do it herself and experience it herself. She lives in the moment and learns by seeing what happens and reflecting on her actions. It's not always ideal, but that's just the way she is. LBY has already been through all of this and some. Most, if not everything LBY tells CSS is not wrong, but that's not going to stop CSS from doing what she wants anyways. She just has to learn things the hard way, but LBY will always be there to unconditionally support her. This gives her the assurance to be bold and to be herself, even if he doesn't always agree.

I'm really scared the ending will be rushed because until ep 38 is the bullying plot and there is the LBY revenge…
I think it'll be fine. The first part covered around 40ish percentage of the novel, so the second part should be able to cover the rest of the 60ish percent. A lot of the content cut is mostly dialogue. The only thing I find hard to see is if they are going to include the epilogue chapters that were not in the original book. It really looks like the ending will be the original novel ending based on the MV.

Can someone give me spoilers on the fifth princess pushing CSS into the lake. 1) Who helps her?2) Does she start…
Based on the novel:

1) Who helps her?
She helps herself. She can swim. She also tries to get revenge by setting up a poop trap that gets fifth princess and her cohorts.

2) Does she start leaning towards LBY after this event. I mean, emotionally?
Yes/No. LBY does not know about it. When he does he gets her payback for her.

3) What happens to that bitch?
She is punished harshly for once. She losses her monies and is under house arrest until she gets married.

4) Why do they push her?
It's speculated by LBY that they may have tried to kill her over LBY. She was just lucky, she knew how to swim or else she may have died.

If you want more details, you can read the post below from a few days back.

Friendly reminder: Take it with a grain of salt, since the drama might change things.

They will probably follow the novel. Some of this is from the novel and some is my interpretation. The Empress…
Yes. CSS calls off the engagement.

Heavy spoilers below.

Several days before their wedding LBY carries out his revenge and massacres the Ling family. LBY is asked if he wants to call off the marriage and he says yes to protect CSS. He instantly regrets it. CSS hears this and calls of the engagement. LBY is exiled to the boarders as punishment. Around the fifth year of exile, the Empress is dying and her last wish is for CSS to get married. CSS quickly tries to get married to fulfill her wish, not knowing she wanted her to marry LBY. The only person willing is Yuan Shen, since everyone else refuses since they know she still loves LBY. Yuan Shen being Yuan Shen proposed anyways, because he covetted her.

LBY returns from his exile and wins CSS back. She had denied her feelings since they broke up and kept trying to forget LBY, but couldn't. After coaxing from LBY and realizing the love he has for her and the love she has for him, she eventually relents and gives in toher true feelings for LBY. The engagement with Yuan Shen is called off and she finally confesses to LBY that he is the only one she loves and wants to marry.

I realized that some of the timelines were changed. So it may not happen as in the book.
After LBY is exiled for around 5 years he comes back to the Capital. The Empress passes away around the 6th year. He was there when she passes away outside her room.

They don't officially reconcile until after the Empress passes away and CSS leaves the Capital to visit the Empress's hometown. CSS wanted to see LBY after Yuan Shen confessed what LBY had done for her, but she wanted to confirm if her feelings were love first, before asking him to marry her. She was sneaking peaks at LBY from outside the Empress's room. The Empress witnessed this, and IMO was able to pass away peacefully knowing they will be together again. She dies a week later. OTP meet up again after Luo Jitong tries to kill CSS and LBY is there since he was following Luo Jitong. She finally confesses to him that he is the only one for her and they make up.

I'm not sure. I have a feeling they might change the context of the kiss. The Adam's apple kiss should've happened already right? When did it happen again? Well, we will see.

This would make sense to me. So probably the Empress w
Birthday banquet. But I don't think so, since during that time they are in a cold war. So I'm thinking even later.

I realized that some of the timelines were changed. So it may not happen as in the book.
Once LBY returns he meets up with CSS a few times, until she finally cracks and starts to admit her real feelings are for LBY and no one else. CSS is getting ready to reconcile and breaks off the engagement with Yuan Shen, but he gets into trouble and CSS helps to get him released. CSS already wants to be back with LBY, but she wants to confirm her feelings first. The Empress passes away and CSS leaves the Capital to The Empress's home town. On the way Luo Jitong tries to kill CSS. Soon after they meet up and CSS finally confesses to LBY she wants to be with him.

They definately reconcile at least a few episodes before the end of the drama. They have to take care of Luo Jitong and Wan Yanji. Wan Yanji has an appearance in the MV, so I know they won't cut out her arc. It's probably going to be more like 5 episodes until they reconcile and 5 episodes for the national crisis.

I mean that scene in general. I'm not sure if it's going to be the same scene as was in the novel. For all we know it could be something that was added just for the drama.

Some changes I can remember.

There is no princess carry at the lantern festival. This was added.

In the falling off the roof scene, CSS actually snuck up there to get away and took a nap outside the roof. When she slips LBY comes to rescue her. LBY doesn't shove her out to get away, like in the drama. Also LBY wants to break her arm, but she is too afraid of the pain.

At the conclusion of part 1 (episode 27) where CSS starts to remember all LBY did for her, that doesn't happen until later in the novel (shown in ep 33 preview). In the original novel, she is still against the marraige and tries to break it off when she enters the Palace the following day. Also, CSS parents are afraid of the Emperor and are trying to convince CSS to be more steadfast, since she agreed to the engagement. But at the same time all 3 want to break off the engagement since it seems like trouble. The Emperor shuts her down again after she says why she is not a good match, as he just wanted to make sure she was not using LBY. After she goes to the Wan family (episode 33 preview), she starts to learn what love is thanks to Mrs. Wan. She starts to recollect all the good deeds that LBY has done for her and realizes that she hasn't been fair to LBY and resolves to treat him better.

One of my favorite scenes in the novel was also cut. When LBY confronts Third Princess for bullying CSS and mentions he won't marry anyone else but CSS, CSS actually is moved and tears up. Third Princess is the one who walks away after being destroyed by LBY's words.

There is no bread millet scenes.

And a bunch of other odds and ends.

From what I can recall, I don't remember that kiss in the novel. There are already a lot of other stuff that was changed to make the drama more dramatic and just to help with the pacing. I could be wrong though. But, the drunk kiss was the first public kiss in the novel.

What will happen to the Empress?
They will probably follow the novel. Some of this is from the novel and some is my interpretation. The Empress has always been sickly. The Crown Prince (her son) and the Third Prince (Consort's Yue's son) have been fighting for the throne. The Crown Prince and the Empress's son's are unfit to rule. So, after some disucssion, the Empress deposes herself, while Consort Yue moves up to become the Empress. All of this so that the most suitable candidate, Third Prince, can become the next Emperor.

After she is deposed she stays in the Cold Palace, where she is accompanied by CSS for the next 5-6 years. During the fifth year her health has declined even further and she doesn't have much time to live. She starts to reminisce about LBY and wishes that CSS can get married before she passes away. This gets CSS to start trying to get married ASAP, not knowing that the Empress wants her to marry LBY. CSS gets engaged to Yuan Shen in order to try to fulfill the Empress's last dying wish.

CSS eventually breaks off the engagement with Yuan Shen after realizing she still loves LBY and won't marry anyone else but him. The Empress spots CSS hiding and peaking at LBY in her court yard and implicitly understands that they will be together again (so her final wish will eventually be fulfilled). She goes into a coma. When she wakes up from her coma she is surrounded by all her loved ones and CSS plays the flute for her a final time before she passes away.

I am really curious about the context of CSS kissing LBY on the temple in public ? Also, I can only imagine what…
I'm not sure either. There is a scene in the novel where CSS gets a little drunk during a banquet. She actually tries to kiss him on the lips but totally misses and kisses his neck. He's too hot and she couldn't help herself. Drunk CSS is fun and uninhibited.

Yes she is a hidden viper, she has her eyes on LBY and she will try to create obstacles for CSS and LBY but fortunately…
Pretty much. Actually the Fifth Princess is only betrothed at first to an unsavory man. All of the evil women in the book seem to have to marry someone that they don't want as punishment or due to politics. All of the good people generally have a loving relationship with their partners and are not bitter.

LBY was always kind to all the royals and helps to cover for them and is miles better when it comes to their own partners. I guess that's why they like him so much. But, LBY always did it out of duty and never because of love. The women are all just bitter since their situation sucks and are envious of the happy love that CSS gets. That's why they keep trying to get in the way.

It's in the novel. Actually, CSS does not know Luo Jitong is a bad person at first, since she always "helps" CSS, not knowing that she is often the one who sets her up. She only figured it out after LBY tells her. LBY knew the whole time, but did not punish her since she helped to save his subordinate's life. After he felt the debt owed was paid, he tells her father of all her dirty deads, which includes the murder of her own husband. Yes, she gets married but still thirsts for LBY, so she killed her own husband. As punishment she gets sent out of the Capital, but that's not the end we see of her.
