Everyone has ranted about the same things I wanted to scream about, the dismissive attitude towards SA, the gaslighting trying to put a positive spin on r*pe and SA, I felt actually crazy trying to watch this episode and since everyone covered those points already I won't even get into it. I have something else I need to speak about. Regardless of Knight is the assaulter or not, he has never respected Mild's bounderies whether that was kissing him in the beginning of the show in the club without warning or asking or suddenly just announcing that he's Mild's boyfriend without asking or even confessing to Mild. I excused it as much as I could and continued to watch with a criminal offensive side eye but thought maybe it'd get better, boy was I wrong! Now that the r*pe story has come out, it makes his past actions even more icky but also makes his actions in this episode so extremely frustrating. Mild was r*ped and he thinks it's Knight yet Knight continuously puts his hands on him this episode kissing Mild without consent (again), wrapping his arms around him, grabbing onto his arms ect ect ect like can we please stop touching a person who has trauma from physical assault/touch? Especially when YOU are the main suspect of said trauma!!! I am all for Knight explaining what REALLY happened that night but he can do that while keeping his hands and lips to himself. The writers wrote Mild to be fine with this, "taking his kiss back" by kissing someone he thinks assaulted him ]but in reality this is so ridiculous and triggering. As someone who has experienced SA, I get so anxious and uncomfortable when anyone i'm not SUPER close to touches me, especially men. Realistically he would be so withdrawn after recovering his memory of the assault, he would be so cautious about others touching him, he would want to rip his skin off where his alleged assaulter continues to touch him. The utter lack of respect for a topic so serious and life shattering is insane.

In real life most abusers get away with it and do considerable damage to their victims. A lot gaslight victims…
I understand that there are toxic people in this world and i'm not against moral ambiguity either, I've enjoyed a few shows here and there with definite toxic plots and/or characters. There are just certain topics that hit especially close to my life as I have had close friends experience domestic violence and I, myself, have experienced sexual assault more than once from different men. I understand more than anyone that the reality is often tragic, my opinions on this topic are more a personal wish that people would take more initiative to notice the signs and want to step in and help as most victims of these situations can't remove themselves. I feel if more shows depicted that it's okay to be "nosy" in situations such as DV or SA and normalized stepping in, especially in Asian cultures, I feel more people would have the courage to intervene and try to help. Of course, fiction is fiction and writers and directors have the creative freedom to go in whatever direction they want and there are many different angles to depict these situations, your version being a synical yet harsh lesson of hypocrisy which is also valid in itself. The way this issue was handled in this episode has sparked discussions such as ours so I guess either way it's bringing awareness and opening up a space for others to speak which is great!

I think what we need to understand is that this isn't some white knight cuties story ^^This was a realistic view…
Yeah I can understand that, it just rubbed me the wrong way personally but this is all my opinion and personal feelings on the subject and I do recognize that this is a realistic depiciton of what normally happens in real life so I can't really knock it, I guess i'm just more like Khem in that aspect. True about Peem, I guess I focused more on how he normally helps people in the village so it was strange to me that he didn't want to help the couple but when you think of it from a karma stand point, it was the husbands karma I suppose so it makes sense that he didn't step in based on his beliefs. I hadn't thought about it that way before, thanks!

I understand where you're coming from, of course writers have the right to write their story however they want to and I know this is a realistic depiction of how things can play out in real life and it's fine that the writer went that direction. I am merely sharing my thoughts and opinions as that is my right as well, I never said the show is bad so i'm not sure why you feel so attacked and defensive. Even if I had said that, everyone has a right to analyze, criticise and review media and art. Just because someone doesn't agree with you or the writers point of view doesn't mean they shouldn't comment or speak nor does it mean that a differnce in opinion is automatically hate. Also, just because I comment online does not mean that I also don't contribute to the cause in real life as well. You don't know me, my life story or what I have been through so don't try to explain to me how abuse works or act like I just "whine" about stuff online to "whine" without practicing what I speak. I hope peace finds you.

The topic of episode 2 has left a slight sour taste in my mouth and I need to speak about it. I really did not appreciate the way they handled domestic abuse. The only thing I was glad of was that they made it clear that the husband was NOT posessed and was genuinely a bad person who abused his wife. Other than that, it was aweful. I understand that village life is different however that shouldn't be a reason to excuse domestic violence. It was shocking to me that so many people wanted to "mind their own business" when abuse was happening. Yeah marital disputes are meant to be kept between spouses but an argument is so completely different from abuse. It was even more shocking to me that Peem knew that issues were happening between the couple and showed no signs of trying to intervene until Khem and Jet (begrudgingly) got involved. It was upsetting that the abuser was let off scott free, he was able to just drop everything and run off to the city to find work while his wife was left to deal with the trauma of the abuse he inflicted on her and that everyone was so casual about it after. I understand Khem is a super sweet, innocent person and tries his hardest to find the good in everyone and in life, he probably has to to keep from going insane or unaliving himself to get the curse over with and that's not a bad thing mostly however he is also very naive because of this and it's evident in his mindset that just because the husband apologized (because he was literally having his life threatened mind you) and "promised" that he would never abuse the wife again, their love was automatically rekindled and everything could be all happy and sunshine. I'm glad Peem at least recognized that the husband would never actually change and told Khem that just because promises are made does not mean they will be kept. Of course it's good to trust others and to see the good but being too trusting is also a bad thing so i'm glad Peem is grounding Khem in a way. I'm still really enjoying the series despite this though and I can't wait to see where this all goes!

????? sorry but ur telling me if my father has been hitting me since i was a child and my mother sometimes that…
He wasn't posessed though, they made it clear that he was really just a piece of shit abuser and Ray the wife was the one that was possessed because she was so agrieved by her circumstances that the spirit came and took over her body to try and kill him because of that but the spirit was taking it too far by trying to kill like everyone in the village not just the husband. I didn't like how most people were trying to say it wasn't anyones business though, like yeah marital disputes should stay within the marriage but when abuse is happening that's a different story in my opinion. It sucks that he was able to just go off to the city to work and they "took a break" from each other when he should have been arrested.

Totally understand! I like horror movies but haven't seen most because no one around me likes them and I have trouble watching them alone like you! However I was able to watch Khemjira by myself in the middle of the night and only get minor jump scared but was able to sleep easy almost right afterwards so you should be good...I hope lol if not I take no responsibility xD

Personally I consider myself to get scared easily and remain paranoid after watching something scary and from my perspective, it wasn't that bad. There are definitely some jump scares here and there, more heavily in the first episode than the second I would say, but it wasn't anything crazy! I'd say probably a 4/10 on the scare factor so far. Also, while the CG and practical make up is quite good, you can definitely still tell that it's fake which personally helps me erase some of my fear because I can remind myself none of this is real, that could just be me though!

100% agree. I'm very disgusted by the subpar writing. I also don't mind darker themes, but the writing needs to…
Yes the subpar writing was mildly entertaining in a "so bad it's kind of good" way so far but once the bad writing hit the r*pe arc it was no longer bearable in any sense. It's one thing to have convoluted dumb drama about minute things like "stealing" a girlfriend but when you treat r*pe like it's on the same level as silly high school drama, that is when you truly fall too far. I understand completely what you mean about the bad fanfic written by a pre-teen as i've come across too many fics that use r*pe as a plot device to bring the leads closer without showing any true understanding of how damaging it can be both physically and mentally much like this show is doing with Mild's emotional and mental health regarding this trauma he's endured. I don't know if this show is based on a novel but if it is I hope this plot point was better done in the book, if there at all.

you expressed every single thing i was thinking so well! tbh i am lil disgusted as how they are handling mild's…
Yeah it seems like they're stuck on their own feelings rather than the feelings of Mild who is the actual victim in all of this. He is just getting more hurt and traumatized by everyone acting like children throwing tantrums with no regards to how it affects Mild.
On Doctor's Mine Aug 18, 2025
There are so many things wrong with what happened in episode 5. First, why would the brother not report what he thinks happened or at least tell their parents? I can sort of see why he didn't want to bring it up to the Mild when they first severed ties as he probably doesn't want to retraumatize him but once Knight started getting involved in Mild's life and Mild started asking questions he should have told him the truth. I get not wanting to poke at old wounds but to not warn your brother of someone you strongly believe sexually assaulted him is just insane. Also, his line of action just doesn't make sense because he was so dead set on not telling Mild but then just casually let a third party person say it in front of everyone?? While smirking and saying shit like "he surely can't handle it"?? It's like he's smug about winning a game or something and not talking about his baby brother's r*pe, that could just be because the actor for Mud is terrible and constantly has the same facial expression for every single second of screen time he gets. Second, I highly HIGHLY doubt that Knight is the one who sexually assaulted Mild because if he did this series would be actually disgusting and there would be absolutely no redeeming it. Third, why the hell would the friend think it's okay to say something so life altering/shattering and serious in front of a group of people while playing a stupid game? I get that she doesn't believe that it happened the way Mud thinks it did as she mentioned that they never heard the full truth from Knight but she still should have had more emotional intelligence than that. Why she was so casual about it and saying they should start over and be friends again as if a literal r*pe allegation was a silly little high school rumor is beyond me. This show was never good, I watched for a light and easy watch despite all of the aweful writing and sub-par acting and was mildly entertained at least but this is ridiculous. I'm aware that life is not all sunshine and rainbows and I don't expect shows to be either but what I do expect is for shows to handle topics as serious as r*pe with the weight it truely holds and with class and tact. Not for them to use it as a plot device and treat it like a joke or a light matter. I'll watch episode 6 just because I want to see where the hell they could possibly take this plot and if I continue after that depends on the direction it takes.

We still don't know the truth. Knight needs some explaining to do.
Victims don't behave how you want them to, they behave and react in a variety of different ways. First, it's possible that his mind completely blocked the memory and he only remembered it once everything came to light. Second, we also haven't really seen much of Mild by himself/not in public so it's not like we get to see how he really feels, just the front he puts up in front of others. If it's from the writers perspective, they probably wanted the reveal of the reason Mud and Knight fight so much to be as dramatic and blindsiding as possible so they didn't give us any flashbacks till now. I'm assuming going forward they're gonna show us flashbacks on what Mild remembers and how he dealt with that trauma. Either way I'm gonna assume it's a misunderstanding and that Knight is not the one who did it because if he did there's literally no excuse they could make up to make their relationship okay going forward.

noticed in dramas ppl tend to hate on the fl if she is nice.
First of all, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz was childish because she was a literal child. Second, I did not say that these women were actually annoying, childish, airheads and shallow and we should just deal with it because that's the character. I said that people find minute reasons to *call* a woman annoying, shallow, childish ect. when she isn't and then use those things to hate on a character that is just a normal women. Of course flaws make characters and people relatable and interesting but that wasn't the point of my comment and I'm not sure i'm a fan of your wording choices either. Everyone is entitlted to their opinions though.
On ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat Feb 21, 2025
Writing this before episode 11 airs because I need to get my current thoughts out. You know, I had seen a lot of people hating on Jun and I can understand being annoyed but personally I love his character so much. Obviously we know Thame cares about Po a lot, loves him a lot and always wants what's best for Po but he didnt know the full back story of Po and his previous relationship. While Po is super detailed and hard working in a lot of ways, he is ultimately a hopeless romantic and is someone who falls so deep in a relationship that he adapts his life and himself to whoever he's with or interested in and that's what led him to losing himself in his previous relationship, quitting the job he loved, not even finishing the project he was actively working on, to accommodate his partner and help his partner achieve his dream. I wasn't sure how much Jun knew about Po's previous relationship, just that he knew that it was a thing and that Po was left heartbroken but with his comments in episode 8 it seems like he knows the entire story. While it is Po's job to work with Mars, I did notice that he had been slowly making himself gravitate around Thame and his needs. Of course, in a relationship we should put our partners needs on high importance but it should NEVER be more important than yourself, your well-being or your important tasks. Po really needed this job, he was recieving money from his parents in the beginning just to stay afloat and he was unhappy with being so dependent, he also wanted to get back into directing/editing but once he started having feelings for Thame he put his actual job on the back burner, doing things that could get him fired or putting his actual work below helping Thame with Mars leaving him with a small window of time to complete his actual work tasks causing himself more stress and room for his work to be rushed and sloppy. Thame has a lot going on, he's the leader so everyone looks to him for help, support, ideas and guidance so it's honestly understandable that he didn't notice this and again, he doesn't know the full story. Jun did notice though and wanted to push Po to focus on himself, see himself as someone important, someone who is capable of doing amazing work, someone who can go far in the career he had once initially loved. Jun may be a bit abrasive in his aproach and i've seen people fault him for that but I think it's needed for someone like Po. Yes, Po has had his self confidence broken down by Earn and has had a hard time believing in himself but I don't think he's as sensitive as some people like to think. Jun saying things like "Bruh this is so old fashioned why would you choose this?" when they were working on the previous MV may seem harsh but he would follow up with constructive criticism. He knows Po is smart, he knows Po can make amazing art but Po is holding himself back. He didn't just give Po the answers which would have been the easy aproach in getting the mv done, by making statements like "Come up with the idea without being concerned about the budget. Don't care about the props." and "it just doesn't fit the lyrics" that could seem harsh but it was to make Po think for himself, to open his mind and tap into his creative side again and start thinking more seriously and deeply about the mv and in general how to aproach directing projects in the future. Po wants to be a director and succeed but he doubts himself, sykes himself out to the point where he doesn't even TRY to think for ideas and creative ways to do things because he's so sure he's bad at it. Someone like Po who is so wishy washy and down on himself in this moment needs someone like Jun to push him harshly, force him into working hard, thinking differently and show him that he CAN do these things if he only applied himself. Obviously, there are times Po is genuinely annoyed with Jun and he does speak to Jun harshly sometimes but he doesn't hate Jun as a lot of people seem to think. He actually talks very highly of Jun and is always praising him when Jun isn't around, I just think that the JunPo dynamic is a bickering one. There are many friendships that are two people arguing non-stop but at the end of the day they care about each other and would fight for them if needed. All that being said though, Jun can't just decide for Po that he's better for him than Thame is. He needs to take Po's feelings into account and despite his attempts to get in between Thame and Po, he never did anything mean spirited and stepped back when he got the full picture of Thame and Po's relationship. Jun shooting his shot and trying to win Po over wasn't really a problem for me, Thame and Po weren't officially together, in Jun's mind he didn't think Thame was that serious about Po and he also wanted to protect Po from falling down the same path of his previous relationship. Does that make him a shitty friend? Personally I don't think so but we are all entitled to our own opinions lol Thame understood where Jun was coming from as well, people are saying "well if I had a crush on my friends crush I would just stop having feelings for them" but feelings are not so easily controlled. Anyways, if Thame was cool with Jun and still sees him as a true friend then that's all that matters as it's their friendship, not ours.

As the series is coming to an end I figure i'll share my thoughts. Maybe because I didn't really watch the trailers and didn't have any expectations going into The Heart Killers because I didn't know much about it, I actually ended up really liking the series! Is it the most perfect serise ever? No, but it's not trying to be. I guess since the premise is surrounding hitmen people were expecting something more serious and I get that to an extent but tbh I love the direction the show took. It is super unserious but that's the whole point. It is intentionally goofy and the whole discourse that i've seen around the show is just proving once again that people don't know the meaning of "camp"/"campy" (Met Gala i'm looking at you). The definition of Camp is this; intentionally overly exaggerated, artificial, or affected in a usually humorous way. The show has flaws, is not realistic and can be outlandish but I feel that's the whole point. I can agree that Dunk is not the best actor, he lacks when it comes to portraying deeper more serious emotions and scenes for sure but you can really see his growth through out his career as I feel he always shows an improved performance with each new series. His performance in The Heart Killers, while still flawed, is his best performance yet in my opinion and it could be improvement through experience or it could also be that he just thrives more in the comedy genre and does campy super well because his portrayal of Style is top tier, definitely my favorite character in the series! I love FirstKhao as actors, they have proven themselves already in their previous series and of course their acting is amazing in this series as well but tbh their characters are lacking for me. I often find myself fast forwarding their scenes to get to FadelStyle/JoongDunk and that is not on FirstKhao but more so on the characters KantBison and the writing. While KantBison can be entertaining at times, I just personally find the story, dynamic and individual characters of Fadel and Style way more interesting and fun. Anyways, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I understand that campy productions are not for everyone but I love me a fun, goofy, campy series that doesn't take itself too seriously and leans into it's "flaws" and embraces them isntead of trying to poorly cover them in an attempt to be taken seriously.
On The Heart Killers Feb 2, 2025
You know what, I don't care what anyone says. I like Dunk as an actor! Yeah he's not the most amazing actor ever and yeah he has his flaws but he also does well in a lot of aspects. His acting in this series is also quite improved from before and I'm sure he'll be even more improved in his next project. We learn with experience. Obviously he's pretty to look at but that doesn't really mean anything to me personally so this opinion is solely based off his acting. Besides, this show was never meant to be a serious hard hitting show, it's supposed to be campy, Style is the embodiment of camp and i'm living for it~

Newsflash: Relationships and circumstances are very complex in REAL LIFE TOO , that is why this cheating is never…
Eveyone is entitled to their own opinion :) I know relationships and circumstances are very complex in real life as well. Life is full of moral grey area's for sure! I did preface my statement with "this is a drama" though so really the only reason i'm not too upset about the cheating is for that reason alone. I was just stating that I find the relationship dynamics and circumstances complex and interesting but I could have worded it better I admit~ If I were a friend to these two gentlemen and talking to them about their issues in real life, my advice would be to talk to their girlfriend and friend about the issues and come to a conclusion, whether that be to fix the problems in their relationship or end the relationship but i'm not and as I said before, this is a drama. I also want to add that when I say cheating i'm really only referring to Kazuaki and Kaori's relationship as they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Idk if i'm just too dumb to pick up on context clues but i'm pretty sure Sei and Fujisawa are literally just friends who are roommates and nothing more so there's no cheating going on there in my opinion. It is messed up though for Sei to sleep with Kazuaki knowing that he has a girlfriend and is in a relationship, in reality i'd say he should push Kazuaki to open up with his girlfriend about their issues not sleep with him but then we wouldn't have a show.
