Can't wait till we get the uncut uncut version in the box-set : (LITA box had some amazing content from BossNoeul in it) :D
When watching I was a little ticked they cut the scenes short buut that's marketing and business for you and I like that there really is something cut and left to show just in the box-set if I'm going to be spending the money on it
When the Side Couple gets to play more interesting characters and a more comprehensive Story than the Mains. As…
It's so interesting how we can watch the same series and have totally different feelings about it. But that's the beauty of individuality and personal taste.
For me CirPhu story had more than enough plot and depth to it with the NC scenes supporting that. I found both characters interesting and layered. The sides were just that to me -- sides that mainly moved the main story forward in some way and not that interesting on their own (Jin's power was cool though). But I must admit, personally I'm a one couple kinda girl, side couples and their stories mostly just annoy me, but that's just me.
I realized after their half of LITA that it would be hard to follow up. Boss and Noeul have wonderful chemistry…
So the parallel world is real, OurCir just didn't come from one (he just saw one and thought it was a dream at first got confused and ran with it). So when the scar is gone and Cir has ''amnesia'' it is a different Cir and we saw little teasers from that world (and others) with the special episode focusing on his world with glassesPhu.
The series actually showed and explained a lot more of the parallel world than the novel did and that made me happy (I feel like for this having read the novel before really helped me to know what was to come and what was the focus for the story), in the novel it was only confirmed to exist at all in the special chapter, The focus was never really on how that works or the different worlds but just on CirPhu from this world and how the crazy moms parenting/abuse made Cir act the way he did (not approach Phu for years and then after the accident seeing the '''dream/different world'' waking up confused just taking the chance to make that a reality with the lie). So you could say without the crazy mom this CirPhu story doesn't happen, at least not like this not in this world :D
I feel like Zone will be just fine and make the mom go crazy like he promised, he has had the freedom and safety to grow and be mentally strong to stand up to her now. I just can't get over what a weak man the dad is...truly shame on him too next to mom.
I totally understand that some might have wanted more focus on the parallel world part and believing that the series would focus more on that. Like I said above reading the novel before the series I got more than I hoped for, if not I myself might very well feel the same .
Sorry about the long as hell response :D 100% OST is amazing and so is BossNoeul chemistry, hope we get to see more of them on our screens soon with diverse stories, roles and characters
Should I drop this or keep going? I'm about halfway through episode four and I'm boooooored. I've also seen spoilers…
Everyone is different and so are our tastes but I enjoyed the series so I recommend that you continue watching. There are many things to come after ep 4 that you might like as the story unfolds.
And if not for the story (if it's not to your taste) just to enjoy the chemistry between Boss and Noeul, that's always a win in my book :D :D
Finally finished The Boy Next World! So, a stalker gets a happy ending? What’s the actual message here? Are…
My thoughts on that is that it also matters how the other person, in this case Phu, receives the behavior. In this case Phu seemed to see it as Cir taking care of him and protecting him. And Phu was thankful for that and felt bad for not noticing Cir sooner and would have been happy to receive the attention, care and love Cir was giving (had Cir not been to scared to just approach Phu openly and Phu being in his own little world so much that he didn't even notice Cir living in the same apartment for all this time) . I felt that Cir was more put off by his own behavior than Phu to be honest. Phu was mad about the lie (and the guilt he felt while believing the lie and fighting his feelings) not the behavior before and I guess he has the right for that and you would have the right to be totally creeped out by Cir after finding out. Phu clearly enjoys and has a need to be taken care of (understandable with him loosing his dad and let's be honest basically his mom too who is absent) so it works out for them. Cir with his trauma didn't feel like he had the right to be happy and had to fear what his mom would do, so again I can understand where his behavior comes from and accept it as his way of dealing with life, is that a healthy and right way no.
Not saying that's how I or you or anybody should or would react/behave but that is how these fictional characters reacted and I just enjoy the content and drama these choices bring to the series and leave it at that (fiction is fiction).
I feel like that is not entirely what happened, Cir didn't make the choice to trade places with his brother. The brother decided that on his own, and from the series we see that he had planned to do that for some time now. Ozone grew up free and safe for many years (unlike Cir who clearly has been traumatized and doesn't even believe he has the right to be happy or want something) so hi is mentally strong and clearly has a plan to make his moms life hell. I'm more shocked and pissed that even after all these years the dad was such a weakling that his younger son had to be the one to put mom in her place.
And if I just got back with the one I love after believing we would never be together again hell yeah I would go home and have sex :D :D
I truly enjoyed the series. And I for one was glad that the focus was kept on main CirPhu (with just the 10 episodes) and we were just given easter eggs of all the other worlds and now we can put our own imagination to work, but I get that not all will feel that way and that's okay and to be expected (I took the paraller world to be a tool/push to move main CirPhu story forward and not the whole point or focus).
I can't wait for the special episode to see more from a different CirPhu pair!
Hopefully Boss and Noeul will focus on the positive and know that they and the series did great ❤️ They are loved and supported. Fingers crossed we'll be seeing them in many different kinds of roles/series together.
MAME ah MAME, when will you ever change? First it was gloryfying rape into love; now its gloryfying stalking as…
It's sad to see so much negativity towards a show that I actually really enjoyed. To me this series is so much more than the NC scenes (that were really good and to me fit the story and were not just there to be there, if that makes sense :D) and you really needed to pay attention to keep up with whats going on with the characters. But of course everyone is welcome to have their own opinions and feelings and we can't all enjoy or interpret things the same way. This story was focused on this Cir and Phu and their journey, spending too much time on the other worlds or characters would have taken away from that and I fear would have made the story messier and more scrappy. It was there to move the main story along, but with that we are all welcome to use our imagination with the possibilities that opened.
Moral of the Story: It's fine being a stalker so long as you're hot.
Thankfully it's a fictional work and that's how it should be viewed.
I guess its all about how the other persons sees the action, in here Phu seems to feel like he had someone to take care of him and is thankful rather than being scared and that's what Cir intended to do, to take care of Phu the only way he felt like he was able to or allowed to because of his trauma and keeping Phu out of the darkness that was his life (before the accident made him see a different path). Phu would have liked and wanted the attention Cir was giving him had he been aware of it earlier.
That is how this story was written and how these fictional characters reacted. Not saying that's how it would or should work out in real life.

so do we know anything about the special episode? dates, where to watch??
It will be released on the 30th of March. They will have two screenings at a theater in Thailand with the cast there and it will also be available to buy/watch on Vimeo. And it will focus on the PhayuCir and GlassesPhu
I hope our Cir (Cir 1) gets back to his Phu soon and I just know that Cir 3 can't help but melt before Phu and once he's back in his own world finds his own Phu there as fast as he can :D I wish them both the best of luck! An Cir 2 / dark Cir is just trying to make other world Cirs realize what they are missing with not having a relationship with their own Phu so really in my books he is a true hero :D :D
My iQIYI doesn't seem to have an "uncut" version, there's only one version in the listing. Any ideas why?
The version that is available on iQIYI is the uncut version (they don't have the cut version there at all so you don't see two version listed on iQIYI).
(LITA box had some amazing content from BossNoeul in it) :D

If we got many special eps from the different worlds and I would eat it up!
CeoCir/WorkerPhu are on the top pf my list!
Sometimes you gotta use the 2X speed to get through a show I've been there :D
Episode 8 is one of my favorites for the plot, hope you'll enjoy it as well (feel free to keep me posted :D )
Hih thank you for saying that :) Maybe one day I'll work my way up to doing that and not just responding
Here's the link for the English translation of the novel in Wattpad: https://www.wattpad.com/1389222163-the-boy-next-world-english-translation
