Novel wise, Yes, the ML poisoned her but then chose to spare her. However, the FL saw through his plan and escaped using Prince Jing. Believing her dead, the ML finally grasped the depth of his feelings. While visiting, he recognized the FL and was furious to find her alive, ultimately blocking the prince's plan to make her his concubine.

Mu Wuxia is more like a lil bro to the FL. Mu Wuyin’s relationship in the drama has changed compared to the novel.
