Ugh. I don't know what's worse for me, this or Kamisama no Ekohiiki. I only managed to watch more episodes of…
That's actually a pretty good comparison. I feel like in order to watch either of those, we need to lean into the cringe. Be one with the cringe. If we fight it, the annoyance will win.
Just wondering, how did the HEADS OF THE COMPANY not tell anyone Yanase was coming back, but had the time to create a new title, desk and business cards for him? Is there no communication in the office by anyone? Between Yanase and Kaneda I can understand, because they're... themselves, but what about all the other employees? What about texts, emails, calls between Yanase and Sakata? I'm just baffled.
Episode 1- Can be difficult to follow at times, but watched for the most adorable Frank ever. Lookit his glasses and tiny frown! Awww.... As for the plot, well, let's just say I would have done things a bit differently. Nanon's film noir-esque voiceover got a bit redundant (read: annoying) pretty fast. We could have trimmed large pieces or even whole scenes and told the story more efficiently. I am a completionist, so I'll push on through and see you all on the other side.
I have no idea what anyone is complaining about. I think this was the best commercial advertisement for Texas Chicken I've ever seen. I'm going to go get a box of it right now! I can't afford the 16 boxes plus sides they bought (for 4 people).
I feel bad that people cannot appreciate this telenovela for what it is ;(
Exactly! I'm waiting for ep10 where Tee is pregnant with Boat's baby, and Candy is actually a surgeon who delivers it in an elevator. Or maybe that was a dream after eating pizza. Either way, still better than what we got.
Don't you know that peeing involves running water? And in Mafia Faucet the Series 2022, all running water leads to NC18+ scenes. He's being careful. =)
So, um, I know that I've been shot at and had to move to a safe house and everything, but playing around at the beach with a small child is ok, right? Hold that thought, let me go answer the door after my trained bodyguard bestie said not to. ME AM sooooo SMART.
Dear directors, fencers WEAR MASKS FOR A REASON!!!!!!
As for the actual drama, it's quite... dramatic. The opening soundtrack makes me think I'm about to watch a police or law thriller, and I can't wait to see the murder. Apparently, the casualty is Fluke's hair. The baby boy himself is quite adorable and relatable, though, despite carrying a grocery store selection of apples everywhere he goes because it supposedly saves his life. Ok, then. Despite all that, I do still hope for the best for this show and will continue to attempt to finish it. Just, please wear fencing masks before one of your actors gets stabbed by a misplaced epee.
I finally got around to watching this. As much as I appreciate Holland and I know Han Gi Chan is a great actor, this didn't really mesh well with me, probably due to the forced separation trope. You both have cell phones. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. On the bright side, the song is catchy, and I would love for Holland to have a series of these, like "Forest Likes Me" (about a lumberjack B&B owner), "Desert Likes Me" (about a scientist cafe owner) or "Sky Likes Me" (astronaut or alien, haven't decided yet, space cafeteria owner). Holland would of course be singing in all of these, probably near the food.
try the short version of this if you want to, it's a lot less to go through, basically the most important story…
whelp.. no hope for it then. You may have to settle for a drama that is set (gasp) OUTSIDE a school!? Could such a thing even exist??? =)
EDIT: May sound a bit harsh there. I meant all these school drama things seem to live off tropes. Like the "I'm not gay, but my boyfriend is" trope, etc. It's hard to find exceptions, like Not Me
Just finished ep 6. This show has zero originality. It's just checking off tropes, one by one and in a manner…
try the short version of this if you want to, it's a lot less to go through, basically the most important story beats are kept, and still the same actors.
Is Ging/ Cherry just trapped in these "jealous bitch" acting roles? Are there no available parts for "wise pink milk barista" or "restaurant manager with a heart of gold"?
Edit: forgot about My Ride, at least she got to be a jealous doctor. Success?
