they're in different era. i mean she's inexperienced in term of dealing people (right now she is out her comfort zone, and staying at husband house, also need to deal with political things when she never involved or learn about it). I didn't read novel so my understanding is based on drama and Chinese fans comment. her character is just proper noble lady in feudal world just they dumb her character way more though she should be more smarter in fact. in her world, while she is not merely tool for men, her thinking is more focus about served husband and have own family. But also since the villain is her godfather godmother, they easily manipulate her... i just hope she have characters development thought it's hard to say
