I don't think Jett is pretending that Feratu is alive if he did I think he would have told Punn and Elise about it or maybe told them that he is faking it to make a trap for the vampires or something.

yeah I thought the same, his memory manipulation must be connected to time travel otherwise it wouldn't make sense. If it wasn't then Punn wouldn't have had those memories till now. Even if he really can only manipulate memories those memories but be synced to all points in time somehow
