Wow, I've been attacked by too much fluff and cuteness. No, seriously, this drama is awesome. If Tawan and Mork don't have the cutest relationship ever, I don't know what it would take. Their relationship was amazing from the start to the end. And I'm not one to like love stories when one of them already has a partner so it says a lot. If you want hot and steamy you'll be disappointed, but their relationship was amazing enough to disregard that. I loved their friends to lovers story. Their smiles, the complicity, the fun, the laughs, everything.
Let's talk about said "partner". WTF is wrong with him? He cheats on his 1st boyfriend, cheats on his 2nd boyfriend, act has a poor little victim, blame everything on others... Man, buy yourself some decency. Being mad because your boyfriend is not ready for sex and gets all nervous, then because he goes looking for his drunk woman friend who was last seen alone with a stranger?! Was he supposed to ignore it? Please. And because he didn't have time for you? You knew from the star he was a medical student. And when he does his best, you're not happy. Fuck off. As for his 1st boyfriend, yuck, they really deserve each other.
I wasn't all that fond of the secondary couple (I mean, I know it was a meaningless threat with the picture but whatever, it was annoying) and I don't care much for straight people in BLs... but they were okay.
On the second hand, I LOVED the fact we had an older gay couple and they have such a huge part of the story. It was awesome. 10/10.
And to conclude with a side note... You KNOW you can say "bisexuality", right? I mean, I won't even try to get them on board with other m-spec labels like pan, ply or omni, but AT LEAST for once in your life in a drama, just say the freaking word. Bisexual.
Okay people, keep in mind I'm autistic and have 0 skill to understand implied things or reading between the lines or anything (so please correct me when I'm wrong) but...
I read everywhere how clueless and innocent Pete is, especially with this last episode. Am I the only thinking he actually DOES know and just act like he doesn't?
Like "yeah bro, totally not lovebites, zero weird things, 100% punishment, I would even comment on hungry mosquitoes if my name was Team".
I can't believe how hilarious this episode was, I can't, I'm freaking crying right now 🤣🤣🤣 Kinn and Porsche Porsche and Pete Porsche drawing The monk giving the dildo The scary movie night Everything.
On a side note, Chay was so cute, poor kiddo in love 😕
Okay hmmm... I think Gia's situation killed it for me. I thought I would get over it the same way I always close my eyes on shitty things happening in dramas but hey... I guess sometimes I cannot turn off my SJW persona.
It was overall a cute drama, neither better nor worse than most bl of this kind (college romcom). I can still relate to Khluen's inability to communicate. This mix of brutal honesty and being incapable of saying things. I feel you, bro. Fluffy fluff in the ending. I wasn't that much into it but yay, fluff, I guess.
I don't have much hope for the next part but I'm still curious so let's go. But, Fah, seriously, I thought you were the intelligent one yet you still drunk-drive? A broken heart is not an excuse to put everyone in danger.
I know Amber said he preferred to be referred to by his current name and identifies as male, but was that his…
Rambling with my bad English incoming: lol
This is one of the things I didn't really like. Gender identity is more than just "hey, you're actually this, let's change everything you thought you were without your consent".
They didn't even touch the subject. Was Amber really happy to be seen as a girl? The clothes and how people perceive you mean nothing. Maybe he somehow new he was a boy. But we won't see this subject anywhere because "kids are too young to know about gender identity". Yet they admit the differences in men and women are something you learn and won't come just from your genitals, since he had to change.
And he definitely didn't have a choice. This is also something tricky. Because intersex people hardly ever have the choice, they will be mutilated even if their body is fully functioning just so they can feat one gender the best way possible and told "you are this gender, let's socialize you this way", then given meds they are not old enough to understand the effects. I know they didn't call him intersex and just went with the "it was an anomaly, just a bit of medication and voilà , I'm not sick anymore". So I'm just rambling.
As much as I really loved this drama, it was not well handled.
I have no idea what to think of this drama. Yes, my comment is useless and so am I but really. It's a mix of "oh, it was cute", "hmmm can I have a real plot and not just some ideas here and there we never follow up", and "well, this drama... sure does exist." I'm lost 🤣
Nahhh wth is this,........ Im olny 5 minutes in and Ive been laughing my ass off from the start...Yall would eat…
From the perspective of someone who didn't really like episode 1 and disliked episode 2, I kind of see what you mean. I was even sending messages to my bff about how I didn't understand why it was such a hit. By episode 3, I was starting to get used to the humor and seeing Porsche getting more serious about his job (yet still being himself because that's him, we like this chaotic mess) helped a lot. And once used to this mix of thai humor and more dark subjects (and it's only the beginning), I will admit one thing: I'm hooked. The hole week of waiting put me on the edge because I need to see the next episode. I even got a VIP account on iQIYI just for KinnPorsche. So, you know... I'm happy I didn't drop this drama.
Translation thing. Mandarin does not have gendered pronouns like English, so the characters in the story are not…
Thanks for your confirmation! I had big doubts but it's been 13 years since I last took some mandarin lessons and I needed the characters to really understand something so... yup. Thanks.
It really bothered me when they were talking about him as a "she".
Okay, this drama was GOOD. I literally had no idea what it was about, I didn't even read the summary. I was bored and it was there. And it was a great surprise.
BEWARE OF SPOILERS IN THIS COMMENT.
I love the fact it's kind of slow and takes its time, I love the relationships between the characters, I love even more the relationship between Le and Amber. It was so sweet and loving and cute. The fact that Le fall in love with Amber before he even knew he was his childhood friend and crush was awesome. The coming-out scene with his mum... erf, my feelings, I love good parents.
I was mad at Yu He for outing Amber but she's a sweet young woman and even tho I don't like what she did, she kind of grow and it's a good thing. She wasn't This Girl Biatch.
I will just admit I don't think the intersex representation was really all that good and I would have love a bit more reflection around intersex people, gender, etc. Also the fact it was used as a plot twist bothers me. But it's just my pov as a LGBTQIA activist. And wow, how happy I am we have an intersex character! Trans man would have been awesome too but both are equally important.
And I don't know if it's just a translation thing but the misgendering here and there was creepy... erf don't, please. Amber id has a man.
Anyway, I still loved this drama, it was a GREAT surprise.
Me: "Don't make any comparison just because it's a small village and there is a car accident and there is a teacher and he will have to show the other guy around and..." Also me: "Remember when A tale of thousands stars killed me?"

But I won't say more because I would have to put on my SJW armor and please, MDL comment space is not the right space for that 🤣

Joke aside I have about 0 trust for this one. But I gotta live dangerously, you know.
