I just read it and absolutely agreed with your analysis. I think they did the best they could and the 7 minutes at end of the last episode was ever emotional for me.

I guess it’s because a lot of main characters died at the end, but for this type of drama it’s almost impossible to have a HE.

Just completed this fantastic drama and it is currently in the top 3 c-dramas of 2025 for me. While it’s not perfect I enjoyed the journey it took me on. Very raw and intense , the cast was amazing at playing their roles, simple clothes, bare faces and absolutely 💯 relying on their acting to deliver the script and they touched every emotions you can imagine. Congratulations to Yang Mi, Ou Hao and the rest of the cast and crew for delivering a very captivating drama.

With only 7 episodes to go I will definitely miss this drama when it finishes.

Same for me and I absolutely love it! However this genre is not popular for international viewers unfortunately. You also have antis that come and just down vote any drama that may threaten their favourite popularity.

Wow, wow, wow after episode 20, this is the number 1 drama of 2025 for me unless there are more surprises for this year! I cried so much from anger and sadness. This drama touches every emotions you can imagine.

Things are getting serious and we are almost at the business end. Can’t wait until the duel, in front of the Emperor. I also love our two heroes giving each other knowingly, flirty little smile, every chance they get 😝

Aww thank you. Yang Mi and whole cast are awesome. I am happy to see YM finds a great role with a great story. Everyday I watch the three released episodes, and it’s much more manageable 😆 I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I have completed 3 out of the five dramas with the last two are currently showing. As C-drama lover, I feel so lucky to have watched and still watching some of the highest quality dramas in this half of 2025. This Thriving Land really took me by surprise of how good it is.
