Just to clear things up: When the ML Wayne Wang (WY) took on this script, the female lead was Sandra Ma, who is only 10 years younger than him, as set in the storyline. Unfortunately due to personal reasons, Sandra Ma couldn't make it, and Landy stepped in hastily. The crew probably had been waiting for a while and had to jump into action quickly because everyone else was all set and ready. So now, there's quite an age difference between Landy and WY in the show. Nonetheless, Landy's character in the drama still adheres to the original script's portrayal of an 80s-born woman with a roughly 10-year age gap from the male lead. The two of them are required to portray events from around 2007 to 2019. WY himself portrays a character of his actual age, and at the beginning of accepting this script, I don't think he anticipated that the chosen actress for the female lead would end up being significantly younger than him.
just so you know, this will be aired during the prime time on CCTV-8, the Golden Time slot, which is like the A-list spot. This time slot is reserved for shows that are expected to capture a large and engaged audience. The quality of this drama won't be too bad, and should be pretty decent.
