I don't get the ending. Is the butterfly supposed to represent something? At first, I thought that the butterfly represented death and that Geu-ru was able to see the dead now, but I don't think it's that.
This is a taiwanese drama, therefore they don't need to go through censorship as strict as mainland dramas
But China did censor international films before like how they cut out all of the gay scenes in Bohemian Rhapsody. Seems hypocritical to me that they censor their BL adaptations but allow explicitly gay series like WBL to stream. I am glad that Chinese audience do get to see actual BL series though. Just curious as to how the censorship in China works.
Kdrama BL’s do well internationally, but how well do they do in South Korea? Been wondering about the likelihood of a Kdrama company doing a full-length Kdrama BL.

No problem! This show deserves to have more attention but unfortunately its YouTube videos don't have official translation. Luckily, we have some awesome fans subbing them for us XD

Netflix seems to be the best bet atm. And they have already released a few BL's internationally like Gameboys and Wish You which means that they are aware of the recent surge of popularity for BL's. Hopefully, we can get a full length Kdrama BL soon!
Did this drama not get pass censorship and that's why there's so many cut scenes? In order to pass censorship? And how are the cut scenes public? Can they be released online after the initial episode aired?
Thanks for this review! I'm at the same stage as you were before your updated your review. I just can't get into…
HP was brilliant! My fav Kdrama no cap! For Reply 1988, I think what turned for me was instead of trying to binge watch the series like on the weekend, I watched a few episodes at a time like after each school day, which helped a lot since each school day is grueling for me. Watching Reply 1988 with its themes of simplicity and friendship really helped provide a form of escapism for me. I highly recommend that you continue & hope that you will come to love it too!
