What a beautiful film! I LOVED every single second of it! Glad that Netflix picked it up. Hopefully, this film will find the audience that it deserves!
I don't get the ending. Is the butterfly supposed to represent something? At first, I thought that the butterfly represented death and that Geu-ru was able to see the dead now, but I don't think it's that.
This is a taiwanese drama, therefore they don't need to go through censorship as strict as mainland dramas
But China did censor international films before like how they cut out all of the gay scenes in Bohemian Rhapsody. Seems hypocritical to me that they censor their BL adaptations but allow explicitly gay series like WBL to stream. I am glad that Chinese audience do get to see actual BL series though. Just curious as to how the censorship in China works.
Kdrama BL’s do well internationally, but how well do they do in South Korea? Been wondering about the likelihood of a Kdrama company doing a full-length Kdrama BL.
