I've not finished the drama, but I am on ep 20ish now. Can someone who knows the plot better clarify- the description of the drama says "Having been on and off friends with Xu Xiao Bo for years, Qi Qi has recently started to notice that itโs become a lot more difficult to understand their relationship. Sometimes it seems like his feelings for her have developed into something beyond friendship but at other times, it seems like theyโre nothing more than old acquaintances."
Is this a mistake? Doesn't this more accurately describe her relationship with Zhang Jun? The description seems like it's talking about her high school life but from what I can see, her bond with XBB in high school at the moment is a strong one, not that they have been "on and off for years". Or is that what her relationship with XBB becomes later on in the story?
I really wanted to wait until this was done to binge it but couldn't help myself- and that's bad for two reasons: now I'm caught up and have to wait 14 hours for the next ep ๐ and I'm worried this whole series is going to make me sad and then have an open ending which is going to hurt so much ๐.
Also I want to find a completed drama to help make the time go faster but when you're watching something this beautiful it's hard to fill your time with any basic cdrama because the comparisons will make it hard to watch!
I'm interested in this drama but I really dislike the break up + years separation trope (especially when it happens near the end of a drama) so I might wait to see how that all plays out and how viewers feel about it before starting on this...
This is the first drama I've watched in yyeaaarrsss where I literally have to pause it and take a breath because I can't handle all the feelings lol - whether its the heart fluttering moments, the emotional moments, or the stressful moments
If I'm not mistaken, when I first read some comments on this drama near the start, it was filled with people really disliked the MLs behaviour but now comments seem more positive generally. I'm not looking for specific spoilers but did things change? character growth? Were early events misunderstandings? Either way is it well-written / does it feel earned? I don't mind watching dramas where characters grow and develop but I'm not really in the mood to watch the type where a grown man ML is a complete dick at the beginning and we're supposed to grow to find it endearing lol.
The way I was completely in agreement with the panel for the message predictions but then the whole thing turned out way messier than we could have predicted lol! Interesting first ep, so far they seem like a likable bunch and for once it's not immediately predictable who our CPs are. I'd like to see more interaction between them all but based on first impressions I liked the idea of Zhengzheng and Zhang.
Okay I just starting watching the first episode on a whim and in the first 10 minutes I was like "hey this is funny, looks like it'll be pretty comedic" and didn't realise I would be freaking bawling in the second half of the ep. This ML is a fantastic actor! I'm excited to watch the whole show but now I know I have to emotionally brace myself for a roller coaster.
It could make better sense if it was named Taxi driver ๐คฃ๐ But the title was already booked for the amazing…
I don't know about in korean, but in English it is quite a witty name! The word "deliverance / deliver" also has the meaning of being set free or liberated , often used in the biblical sense that way (i.e "deliver me from evil and bring me safely into the kingdom of heaven" etc).
So it's funny to call him something as basic and normal as a "delivery man" when instead of packages, he's actually "delivering" spirits (both meanings- he's driving them to where they need to go in his car like packages, but also setting them free from being trapped on earth into the afterlife / heaven.)
This is a cute little drama for what it is ( a short, low budget one I mean).
When Wan said "you can try having a (one-sided) crush on me a little longer" I was so proud of him for making Eddy work for it a lil instead of giving in straight away ๐
In a recent episode I think Grandma was talking to herself and said something along the lines of "Yeongmin needs to meet a nice girlfriend and then I can pass away in peace" and our ghostly FL tutted at her. I hope they're not foreshadowing Grandma's passing and Yeongmin helping her ghost move on in a later episode. They did a similar thing in a recent kdrama ( I won't say which to avoid spoiling) and it's a predictable trope in general.
I hate when the writers do that though- the ML has been through enough loss in his lifetime he deserves to live happily with both the FL and his grandma for years to come. Fingers crossed!
This is my first romantic melodrama and I'm really enjoying it! I usually only watch rom coms. Can anyone recommend…
I also would have to recommend "One Spring Night", another great one that deals with two people falling in love beautifully while facing some outside difficulties because of their personal situations. It's my second favourite drama after "Just Between Lovers" which others have already suggested to you.

I think other than 'Into the Ring' (which is very quirky and unique) what seems to be in common with the rest of my favs is very realistic down-to-earth feeling characters? So I'm not surprised by how much I love Meet Yourself!
I just love this drama. As long as you're aware of the genre going in (quintessential slice of life , beautiful in the small every-day interactions it shows) I think you can't help but love it. The vibrant cast of characters in the village feel so real to me, it really is like peaking on the daily life of people who live a very different life to my own. My kind of escapism!
One thing I like about this drama is they didn't create an immature misunderstanding for the FL and ML meet each other and initially get off to a wrong start- but instead we just see them meet each other naturally like real adults do and we've seen them slowly start to spend time together so far. Feels like such a warm drama.
I'm really enjoying it in general though!
