I'm trying to decide whether this drama will suit my current mood- as it's about exes I expected it would be kind of angsty with frustrating misunderstandings and fighting, but people are calling it a healing drama. Can I ask what's the general vibe? Warm + Cozy slice of life, dramatic ups and downs, or slower and a bit sad?

I feel like Liu Jing and Song Chao are a better fit ultimately because Shan Mu is in a different stage of life than Liu Jing- he's established and settled, and doesn't really turn to her for help. On the other hand Liu Jing and Song Chao share worries and vulnerabilities with each other comfortably. I'd love a season two to see more from all of them.

Can anyone recommend to me any similar Jdramas to this? This is the first jdrama I've seen that I'm actually enjoying (I think because of the uniqueness/ quirkiness of the characters and how it doesn't take itself too seriously.)

Jeon Mi Do acted that last scene perfectly!

I also love Suk Hyung's big picture plan with the US thing - I'm guessing he's letting his mom think he has one foot out of the country but is choosing to stay for Min Ha so that she'll be nice to her lol

I know the poor dear had no clue his ex was cheating, but Erqiang better slow his roll and get a paternity test before anything gets out of hand or anyone gets uneccessarily worried. Erqiang and co are my fav little family.

Simei is making me so angry in Ep 30 that if she was my own sister I'd have slapped her at least once to try to knock some sense into her. Risking herself needlessly by going to a SARS infected hospital to accompany that cheating scum sad excuse for a husband (who got sick because he was visiting his mistress) knowing full well she could be potentially leaving behind her young daughter? Baffling and so beyond selfish. I can't believe she has the gall to look her siblings in the eye after borrowing money from them to pay compensation on his behalf, because he hasn't been able to keep it in his pants for years.

This show is the opposite of healing drama. It's just full of bad decisions by decent people (Yicheng), or awful behaviour by awful people (Sanli's MIL, the siblings' father), and stressful + unfortunate things happening to good people (all of the bad situations forced upon our siblings). Sure the underlying bonds are heart warming but ... it makes me tired!

The sheer scuminess of the father aswell as Yicheng's bad choices are making this hard to watch. It's clearly a good drama as it makes me care this much about the characters but I might have to take a short break!

These are my favourite kind of couples! Other notable mentions are One Spring Night and Just Between Lovers. I love romances where you're not just told "They're made for eachother, they fell in love at first sight!" but instead you can see for yourself in the small moments why these two people would naturally grow to love eachother.

This kid has got to be the cutest child actor I've seen. Of course all children are cute but his expressions are so perfect.

Not HP writers using the Noble Idiocy trope! I understand feeling guilty to hear your BF has been stressed and not willing to talk about it because you have other things going on, BUT the mature thing to do there is to have conversations with him where you say "I want you to honestly share your burdens with me too otherwise I feel like this relationship is one sided"- Junwan is smart enough that he'd listen to that. How does breaking up with him and convincing him you fell for someone else remove his burdens? It just adds another trauma for him to deal with? Come on Iksun you're supposed to be more mature than this! I'm rooting for this couple though, they're my fav pairing in the show.
