On Now, We Are Breaking Up Dec 3, 2021
Although I would agree that the acting is a little on the bland side but this is what you get for two mature adults in real life. If you are 30 something wanting to date most probably this is the dream scenario.

It looks like you're very much for just the one side though, so maybe follow your own advice first and then give…
Why are you apologizing? Do they have put a gun to your head?
All the people here pretty much know nothing about anything. People are worked up based on a 2page story. I mean it's baffling to just read the replies on your comment: "If if were not guilty, he should apologies much sooner, not after rumored speared" , "he only apologized because he was caught, otherwise this poor woman would've suffered alone ".
No one knows their relationship how did they started, what were their circumstances, how they ended... yet feel free to judge. I bet you most of the people in relationships(of any kind) with this philosophy of thinking will frustrate their partners and themselves in return.
Again, do not apologize for having a balanced viewpoint.

Never gonna watch last 2 episodes :v I'm kinda heartbroken since I follow him since chief kim, still hope he truly…
So you are going to abstain yourself from enjoying the ending of a traffic drama because someone did something which we don't know pretty much anything about nor it is our place to judge.
If you dig enough almost everyone has done something awful in their lifetime. Be disappointed or sad that's ok but just move on and see the show and enjoy it. It really is not worth it,
On Kim Seon Ho Oct 20, 2021
Person Kim Seon Ho
Welcome to real life.

People no matter how unknown or famous, defeated or successful and etc. are neither saints nor devils. People do good things in their lives and do horrible things in their lives. Some do more good things some do more bad things probably. Most definitely no one is a SAINT nor one is a DEVIL. If you loved a certain person and then because of something he did you hate him now or vice versa, I have bad news for you, you see life's overall romantically which means naivety.

If someone may seem too perfect for you, you are ignoring their "bad" side and when you realize the truth you may feel anger towards them. This comes from a feeling of a shock, you can seek this inside yourself to see where this shock is coming from. It is ok to feel disappointed but not to a point of frustration to have outward projection in a form of angry comment.

This comment is not to defend Kim Seon Ho. Even if he had been accused of killing someone, it is judiciary system's responsibility to judge him. I've done enough shitty things myself in my life I can't judge people(and probably the same thing is true for you).

You do stuff and they have consequences. If you have enjoyed "HomeTown Cha" one of the prices that had to be paid (apparently) is what Kim Seon Ho did. Have all this in mind, its not worth it to feel frustrated for something someone did. Just move on.

is this slice of life?
If you say Run on to be the standard for slice of life with the score of 10 I would give this 8 for slice of life. There are definitely touching day to day stories of various kind of people that you can learn something from in for use in real life.

No one gets to say what's to be traumatic for someone and what's not to be. Du shik blamed himself and was driven…
You should not shame people for feeling traumatic for an event but you should most definitely help people "not feeling traumatic" by whatever you can do. Therapy, support group...
Replying to nimwoo Oct 17, 2021
My point tbh. They failed to create an actual traumatic experience. While I agree that traumas affect people differently,…
He has a great relationship with the town, he can judge peoples emotional problems pretty well and respond to them even thoughtfully, but he lacks the same qualities towards himself. It is mostly the case in real life but to this degree is a little hard to believe specially with the help of a therapist that he is getting.
Replying to liesylew Oct 17, 2021
I can see the widow’s viewpoint. When she said those things to him she was grieving and just needed someone…
Sure when you are in shock you do all sorts of thing and no one expect anything of a person who has experienced a tragic event. What you do after that determines what kind of a person you are. She doesn't even pretend to not apologize, she just says Im not gonna apologize! If he was really at fault, her not apologizing was really understanding but he wasn't driving and its five years past.

Yes you are right to a point. People have different reactions to tragic events, there is a shock period then grieving then you accept it(roughly speaking and especially when you are not a kid) and base on the severity of the reaction you can say how much traumatic an event has been for someone. But now he has developed PTSD for losing a close friend and co-worker, that is not normal. You can grieve (if you don't that's not normal either), you can blame yourself and etc, and you should end it at some point. That is why he is going to a therapist.
Base on how he can judge other people's emotion and his relationship with the community you would think that he has the mental ability to overcome these events and stand up for himself when they accuse him but he doesn't and he has a mental break down on top of that. It is fantasy in the end but still the imbalance of the ML just for the sake of story was not handled well. If he really pushed for the guy to bring in money or if he was driving his PTSD would have been more believable.

Title Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Spoiler
The tragic trauma, albeit being tragic was not traumatic at all. ML was not at all at fault even remotely close.
The dad was stupid taking a loan over a mortgage besides being warned not to do anything rash, how can that be ML's fault ? And the car accident, ML wasn't even driving or deliberately trying to distract the driver. The audacity of the widowed wife to tell ML she won't apologize for what she has done to him and won't resent him anymore ?! That's baffling to say the least.
The tragic trauma was exaggerated, a healthy smart individual like ML would've gotten out off it after some time specially with the help of a therapist and maybe show(not physically or any harsh projection outwardly) or feel anger toward those people that guilt shamed him for their inability to face reality.
It was a frustrating episode to watch. RIP grandma.

Is this worth starting? Seeing mixed opinions in the comment section...
Probably, waiting on the finish. The production is top notch, great cast selection, great side character stories. The main story is not that unique and some elements of it has been dragged(better word would be ignored till the later episodes). It will definitely warm ones mood.

I still have nightmares from startup. I can't watch anything with Nam Joo Huyk or Suzy in it, they remind me of the idiot characters.

Title Start-Up
I was hesitant to give it a low score solely because of the second male lead exposure. Now that he plays in hometown cha cha cha (exceptionally well I may add) I came back to give this one the lowest one possible because 8.1 is too high for this. Realistically the score should hover around 5. Horrible cast selection, at some point plot doesn't make sense anymore and the characters just start making illogical choices one after another. The SML is just way more overly balanced than the ML which makes it hard to like the ML(the ML is plain illogically stupid nothing he does makes sense both in real and fantasy world). The drama is quite enjoyable in the first half of it, second half gives you the feeling that you wanna put your head between a door and slam it as hard as you can. I would not recommend it the feeling it's quit annoying.

unexpected, it's actually not that bad! what's wrong with the rating, i almost never give it a try ~ a melodrama…
The score is really low, it offers much more than an average melodrama. The issues discussed here are wide spread in today's world, from how lonely people are to pressure put on men from society and the side effects of stress... .I am watching Hometown chachacha and I really love that show but this one has a cleaner massage than that which has an extremely high score. I hope the score raise overtime because this issues need more spotlight.

I don't like him tbh. He has a freaking kid already. He shouldve been fighting to get hwa jeong back
He is cringe but I don't think he should fight for her ex-wife, specially when she is the one who broke the marriage with out explanation. Ex-wife was dishonest about her intention (understandably if she is gay it is hard to come out in such a small town) and left him in the dark.

I dunno if this is funny or not. BUT I FREAKING LAUGHED SO LOUD.
Thats the tragedy for him. His job gives him false confidence but in reality he is as clueless as it gets. And its getting worse episode by episode.
On Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Sep 25, 2021
The ex husband, Yeong Guk hurts the most. What a great actor. My heart goes out to the character, it's not easy being clueless and not being able to do anything about it.
