Story timeline and Martial art level
I have just finished watching and things I like about the series are acting and CGI and there is only one point that I dislike about this series is too much bias on MLs and their martial art skills were too unrealistic and illogical if we based on the other series.
If I am right, the timeline of those 3 series should be in following order.
1. Dashing Youth
2. Blood River
3. The Blood of Youth
Point 1
At Dashing Youth, Su Mu Yu is already an expert while Baili Dong Jun hasn't even become the disciple of Mr.Li.
At the starting of DY, Baili Dong Jun is barely 18 year old while apparently Su Mu Yu is already "Kui" , meaning to say that Su Mu Yu is already in his 20s.
That's mean Su Mu Yu is definitely older than Baili Dong Jun.
But why I feel like they make Baili Dong Jun timeline is a bit earlier in The Blood of Youth and Blood River.
Even they portray Baili Dong Jun as an very old man at the Blood of Youth.
May be I am the only one confusing here...
Point 2
At The Blood of Youth, Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He and other experts fight against Li Han Yi but they do not win smoothly but when we look at the Blood River, Su Mu Yu win over Zhou Qing and Su Chang He can even fight on par.
If we compare this two, it doesn't make sense at all.
On my POV, they just make Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He very powerful than they should have been originally in the series.
Point 3
Li Han Yi is the older sister of Lei Wu Jie and daughter of Azure Dragon and Lie Meng Sha.
Let's say Azure Dragon was 18 when she got Li Han Yi which makes her to be in her late 50s in Blood River period.
But she is portray as an middle age woman instead of granny.
Point 4
At the end of Blood River, Prince Lang Ya is poisoned and about to die but at the beginning of the Blood of Youth, 4 years before Xiao Se reappear, the king killed Prince Lang Ya.
That's mean, Prince Lang Ya did not die shortly after the Blood River story end.
I try to put timeline of 3 series like this.
The Blood of Youth ended at 23rd year of Emperor Ming De's reign and the Emperor was 57.
Emperor Ming De started his reign on the year where Wuxin was born and Wuxin's father was killed.
So, the Blood of Youth started at EMD year 18th and ended at 23rd, the total duration was 5 years.
Based on the Blood of Youth,
Dashing Youth started apparently around 28 or 30 years before the BOY , by the time Baili Dong Jun turned 18 and Ye Ding Zhi was around 20.
So, by the end of Dashing Youth, Baili Dong Jun is around 28 or 30 at most and after 18 years, BOY started.
Based on the other 2 series,
Blood River started when Su Mu Yu was about to become Head of Su Family from being Kui and he said he has been acting as Kui for over 7 years and he was already Kui when the final fight with Ye Ding Zhi happened.
So, Blood River period started about 5 or 6 years after the final fight with Ye Ding Zhi and ended 8 years before the Blood of Youth because at the ending it is said that Blood River reenter the martial world after 8 years.
That's mean Blood River show the timeline of 10 years between the end of final fight with Ye Ding Zhi and 8 year before the Blood Youth or on the other way we can say the time period of Wuxin age 0 to 10 then at the year of Wuxin turning 18, Blood River return to martial world again.
At the end of the Blood of Youth estimated ages of the main casts are
1. Baili Dong Jun, Si Kong Chang Feng should be in their early 50s
2. Xiao Se is 25 and Wuxin is 23
3. Prince Lang Ya die 4 years before the BOY, and he should be a couple of year younger than Emperor.
Emperor died at 57 at the end of BOY, so he was 52 at the very start of the BOY.
Then 4 years before the BOY means, Emperor was 48 and Prince Lang Ya was around 45 or 46 when he died.
That makes Prince Lang Ya is at the same age with Baili Dong Jun and SKCF.
But in my POV, Prince Lang Ya should be a lot older than BDJ and SKCF.
