This drama was such a disaster. The script is awful, the lead actress is a chard and although Taec did a great job, he wasn't able to save a drama that is like a sinking ship almost from the beginning.

I think he divorced her because she wanted to have children but he is traumatized because of his little sister death and doesn't want to become father. Moreover, they are very different and although he loves her, sometimes that is not enough to maintain a relation. But as this is a drama, they will end together even if it is shoehorned ¬¬

I would like that both of them ending single because is not a good idea to comeback together again when the first time didn't work. It would be very brave to send the message that you can be divorce, be alone and be happy, but unfortunately the will end together, remarried and with a child because that's the "correct". Such a pity, because this was the opportunity to send a different message to society and they won't do ¬¬.

Because the best revenge for him is destroy Choi Chi Yeol through their students. Make him give up to teach students that is his dream, moreover, the two killed students where bad students not as his sister, for who her studies were the most important in her life.
I don't know if you watched "School 2017" , but there you can see that somes of characters wear the same hoodie, so is very easy in this drama do the same as in the other. A common hoodie that you can buy everywhere. And another thing, the face of the killer is blurred in episode 4 and that scene was after the scene in the convenience store where Hee Jae appears. Too easy.

I think that the killer is Jin Yi Sang (the other instructor in episode 4 that screams in the office just when Choi Chi Yeol arrives there). There were two scenes with him showing his jealousy in regards to him.
I think that it would be too obvious if Dong Hee or Lee Hee Jae were the culprits. Moreover, Hee Jae goes out at night to feed the stray cats and doesn't want to associate with anyone. His eyes at the convenience store are elusive, so I think he is innocent.

With my long list of watched dramas, I can't remember everything, but this year along with "Extraordinary attorney Woo" and I think that another couple of dramas, is the best. You can go to my list and see it.

Wow, I see that I wasn't the only one who though that Xiao Yun Yao would has been a good ML XD.

I was waiting for this drama, but they destroyed the novel with this adaptation, such a a pity. I loved Dilraba in this role, but Ren Jia Lun is a great no for me as Chang Yi, he did no conveyed the emotions of the character and there is almost zero chemistry between him and Dilraba, while she has a lot of chemistry with Xiao Yun Yao and he is able to convey much better his emotions.

Sorry, English is not my maternal language and while I think how I have to write what I want, my brain plays tricks on me T_________T. Although the main lead says her in the first episode that she would be treated like a man and she wears men clothes if I remember correctly ^^'''''

That story would be female centered, although the lead is a male, because it takes place in a brothel. For me is male centered because I watched the anime (three seasons), the OVA'S and the films. And yes, the male is a woman, but she lives in a "male" world in a era of chaos.

I was looking forward for this drama, but it was a waste of time and a disappointment and when there were kiss scenes I laughed a lot because they were so fake. The chemistry is not very good and watch Xing Fei almost all time with the same hair style and a wardrobe that's not for her made me scream at her stylist.

Great drama, a magnificent lead couple with a lot of chemistry and jaw-dropping technical quality. It deserves to be reviewed over and over again because it is worth it.
I liked Zhang Zi Yi from her previous films, but the star of this drama was Zhou Yi Wei, what a great, wonderful and fantastic actor.

I have been watching dramas since many years ago and I have the right to say whatever I want.
Why have I to have the same opinion than Chinese people or other people who believe is a good drama? For me is a bad drama and a waste of time.
I have the right to be respected as I respect those who believe is a good drama. You don't have the right to say that my comment or another watcher's comment is stupid. Lear to respect if you want to be respected ^^.
If you want a GREAT Chinese drama, watch "Nirvana in fire". If you knew me, you'll know that I'm not someone who use that word lightly as I'm someone who is very strict and demanding when I watch a drama. You can go to my list and see all the dramas I watched and you'll know that I have a bit of experience watching dramas.
I have seen your list and there's only "Eternal love", a drama that for me is one thousand times better than "Ashes of love".

It's my first time writing a comment and I decided to do it because this drama is OVERRATED.
The story has no sense the most of the time, there are a lot of illogical things and so many loop holes that I lost the count.
Main characters are laughable, dull, idiot, silly and so frustrating that I wanted scream at them.
The antagonist are so unbeareable and overreacted that I wanted to hang them from mizzenmast.
Chemistry is almost non-existent and I hated so much that door kisses. It was like watch a Kdrama from ten years ago or more.
In summary, if you want waste your time and don't enjoy , this is your drama for sure.
