One of the best way to enjoy this drama is to just ignore the negative comments and let your own experience with the episodes guide you...I've realised majority of the negative comments here are just from people who r not Asian or have never experience strict/manipulative parenting or have not known people who had manipulative parents. Alot of the comments here are just tone deaf and overall impatient about where the drama is heading ...like the drama is literally 40 episodes long if u want everything resolved in first 20 episodes only what even is the plot for later ? And the heroine is potraying a character that never has had any freedom of thought....just because the viewers want her to be strong ...this development cant be in a day or else the drama would have ended in a few episodes only.....SO my advice to the new watchers is to not judge the drama based on the comments but to give it try for a few episodes with an open mind

Oh my god ... thank you guys for such a awesome comments chain..I've watched the drama , read the book and just finished the anime and yet there r so many things that I missed....I got to learn loads from reading this thread , also the reason why I was asking about Suiban's is becoz of this amazing fanart I found which showed Suiban's spirit character and his feelings from being his master's companion to being called only as "that sword" and being discarded but still loving the master nonetheless to not being able to stop Wuixan's demise and then eventually sealing off...and honestly that Fanart was so beautiful that I just really hoped that canon Suiban got it's happy ending too.

Guys at the end of the drama or even the novel ...who has Suiban ? Wei Ying or Jiang Cheng ?
