The FL (Cheng Yao) is not as stupid as you think but she accepted that debt so she could live in the…
While I understand that Cheng Yao is a trainee lawyer with aspirations to learn from Qian Heng, my point still stands. The fact that she accepted a debt to live in the same house and “learn” from him makes no sense from a legal perspective. As a law student myself, one thing we’re taught early on is that no one can exploit you, especially when it comes to your own legal rights. There are always terms and conditions—no one( even the boss) can fire or threaten someone on a whim without cause.
And yes, I know he didn’t actually take the money as debt, but the way the show tried to portray it as if that debt situation was legally accurate was irritating. It’s just frustrating to watch someone with legal knowledge not using it properly. The portrayal of the law in these situations was, frankly, quite sloppy. i know it is fictional but the law parts are so dumbed down that i couldn’t stand it. This is my opinion and you are entitled to your own
The FL seriously needs to sue her law school because, whatever they taught her, it clearly wasn’t right. The ML is out here handing her bills like she owes him for breathing the same air and then casually threatens to *double her debt* if she doesn’t do what he orders her to do. Oh, and let me remind everyone SHE’S A FREAKING LAWYER You’d think she’d at least have a clue about her own rights, but nope! This chick is out here with a law degree and not a single brain cell to use it. I can’t keep watching her level of stupidity, it’s too painful.
average movie with an average plot. We don’t get enough focus on the father daughter bond. The only thing i absolutely loved was eun hye’s acting. She ATE that role
