Cheng lisu indeed was not an important character but in the show cheng lisu is also a mix of Lin Shuanghe who has quite a role in the novel as a doctor, friend, shipper, financer and etc. Additionally they’ve also added a love line between him and song Tao Tao which also increases his screen time. But I do agree that the first episode could have been longer. But this show was edited like twice. First because the number of episodes was cut down from 40 to 36 and then because of li Ming d. So I can understand if it is a little choppy also considering how long the novel is.

Novel he yan was also chatty and said nonsense and flattery to cover up for lies and to get out of trouble with xiao jue. Though in the novel she gets more and more chatty as time goes on but here she’s kinda chatty from the beginning.

If I’m not remembering it wrong in the novel, soon after the swap, the subordinates that were close to her/ saw her more often died in “battle” (basically He Rufei colludes with enemy and kills these people to prevent them from finding any flaws in his act or telling the world)

In the novel show does transmigrate into another body but due to censorship they can’t do that and that’s why she was “miraculously” saved in the show

This was in the novel too. Song taotao was considered as he yan/he rufei’s fiance. He yan declines as she doesn’t want to ruin the girls life by marrying her. As a result he yan runs away and joins the army.

FEUD and this drama aren’t even the same genre so how is she competing with bai lu. Additionally, to think that she wasn’t the right fit for passionately in love is your opinion. Again this casting issue though not her personal fault. This show isn’t really about romance so we don’t know whether or not a kiss scene is needed or will affect the story line. Furthermore, there are a lot of really good dramas that show love and chemistry without kiss scenes. I’m not a fan of liu hao cun nor have I seen any of her previous works but to hate on her for not wanting to do kiss scenes or accusing her of “competing with bai lu” is just malicious. You should find something better to do with your life because spending time online hating on others is frankly sad.

Similar romance I would say princess royal, love between the galaxy, blossom. I also really like destined but I feel like it’s not that similar to TPOB but the romance is really good.

This is what the original writer of the novel wanted. She just wanted to put her love for ancient style music, food and voice acting in a novel with romance. It’s just supposed to be light and comforting.

It’s because the drama is based off a novel. The novel is set back in 2015 so in that all the events were held online. The novel it is also quite short and the drama is long and fleshed out with a lot of in person scenes and events. That probably why they show him in the studio most of the time. Plus the story isn’t showing everyday of their life, it has a lot of time jumps. A lot of the time they are showing Fridays or weekends. He also mentions towards the end that he used all his vacation days that he has saved over the years after they met/ started dating. I’ve watched this show a lot of times so I picked up on a lot of things.

What happened? I saw he was cut of the hello Saturday episode.

I don’t think her ex kidnapped her she probably went with him cause he was causing a scene at the hotel again. Plus the ML’s house is not literally burning down, it means someone is trying to steal your wife.

In ep 5 it’s a translation error , n t the nun says something along the line of she is made up with yan heng or they are not fighting anymore because in the previous episode she said she wanted to break up. With he suye it was also a translation error in ep 6. He says still can’t bear to breakup not can’t get over the break up.

It was a translation issue in ep6. He said something along the lines of still can’t bear to breakup with your boyfriend/don’t want to let him go. He didn’t say can’t get over the break up like the subtitles suggested.
