The show has been amazing at showing people, not bad people, just people, doing horrible things because of emotions. We as rational viewers can't agree with them, and we should not, it's very clear what they do is wrong, but you can understand where they are coming from.. Wai fr betrayal and Pat's dad from desperation to please his father. Take Pat doing all these things, like rugby for his dad, and then multiply the dad's personality and you get the grandad.. he was also in high school I think, so that's like 17-18 years old... ? The worse things is both distorting the kids entire childhood with lies, which had to have been corroborated to be exactly the same, and making them take the brunt of it.. if I were them, I'd wanna run away too .
