On Save Me Season 2 Feb 16, 2025
I watched this mostly because I enjoyed Uhm Tae Goo's performance in My Sweet Mobster so much, and ended up really enjoying this show as well, though it is of course a totally different genre and quite dark and disturbing. The acting is top-notch. I was particularly impressed by Cheon Ho Jin, who I remembered as the taciturn dad in My Liberation Notes and who plays this sinister character here with such conviction. A great psychological thriller, highly recommended if you like this genre or want to watch some very fine acting.
On Bitter Sweet Hell Feb 16, 2025
A well-done thriller with some unexpected twists and turns, really entertaining. I loved the relationship between the female lead and her mother-in-law. The acting was stellar, in particular by Lee Hye Young as "Korea's Agatha Christie". If you like the thriller and mystery genre, this one will not disappoint.
On Motel California Feb 16, 2025
The low rating is baffling to me. Finally a complex character instead of your typical bubbly girl. I liked the story a lot, her quirky dad, the unusual motel setting, the chemistry between the leads. Was the back-and-forth frustrating at times? Sure, but there are relationships like that in real life and it was probably more realistic than some CEO falling for his (of course) bubbly secretary. Not that I don't enjoy those types of shows too, but this one was really different and in a good way.

Title My Sweet Mobster Spoiler
This drama wasn't necessarily on my radar, but the comments here were so positive that I started to watch and now I'm hooked of course. Apart from the story being very cute and very funny, the ML's acting is on another level. Plus the unplanned pregnancy is an unusual storyline rarely found in Kdramas, let's see where they go with that.
On The Player 2: Master of Swindlers Jul 14, 2024
Like many others, I have no idea why this drama got so much hate, Sure, they could have just put the poor girl in a coma instead of killing her off, but the underlying motivation had to be a strong desire for revenge which drives the whole plot. For the genre, it was really well done, with lots of action sequences, great villains, interesting settings, and some fun banter, though admittedly not as much as in Season 1. I enjoyed both seasons and would definitely watch Season 3 if it happens.

Just finished ep 14. What a great show. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys the crime and mystery genre. Stellar acting of course, intriguing plot, quite a few unexpected twists. There are a lot of characters, some with similar names, so it took me a few episodes to sort them all out, but that is the only slight criticism I have. It really was a highly enjoyable watch.
On The Atypical Family Jun 9, 2024
Just finished watching this unique and refreshing and indeed atypical drama. Great character development, wonderful acting all around, not a single boring scene. And the ending was absolutely ingenious.
On Dare to Love Me May 25, 2024
The low rating is indeed baffling. I started watching this mostly because I liked the ML in Angel's Last Mission and the FL in a couple of other shows, then because I became curious if it was as really as crappy as indicated by the rating. I ended up pretty much binge watching all 4 episodes. It's entertaining and fun.
On Knight Flower Feb 19, 2024
I have rarely seen the comment section about any drama so positive and can only agree that this is, in fact, an outstanding show, with a fascinating main female character, the right amount of palace intrigue, lots of action, some very funny scenes, the rather stark criticism of the treatment of women adding depth, and above all, a romance to make you swoon. The FL was excellent and the ML was a revelation. I don't re-watch a lot of shows but I will very much enjoy re-watching this one.
On Knight Flower Feb 14, 2024
This show is an absolute delight. Great comedic timing especially by the female lead, really an outstanding job. Same for the male lead - the look Su Ho gave his brother when they were discussing how to keep Yeo Hwa from having to leave - I just melted. Let's hope they get their happy end 😊
On The Leaking Bookstore Dec 4, 2023
I watched this show because the words "Sherlock Holmes novel" in the synopsis caught my eye, and I actually quite enjoyed it. It's a dark tale and not what I expected, but definitely interesting.
On My Lovely Boxer Sep 23, 2023
I had no plans to watch this show because I have zero interest in boxing, but thanks to the favorable comments here, I am now on ep 6 and really enjoy it. Very interesting story with complex characters and a great female protagonist.

The comments here are more entertaining than this show. Seriuosly, what a waste of great potential.

What an excellent show. I was expecting something light and fluffy along the lines of Sky High, but this is quite different, darker and deeper. Wonderful characters you can root for, an intriguing plot, great action scenes. I could not find anything I disliked so I gave it a10, which is really rare for me.
On Miraculous Brothers Jul 29, 2023
I just love this website. When this drama popped up on Viki, I checked the comments here, decided it was worth watching, and have really enjoyed it. Very intriguing plot. No idea why the rating is below 8.
On Oasis Jun 19, 2023
Title Oasis Spoiler
I thought it was way better than what the rating suggests. An interesting study in how people with good intentions do all the wrong things - love your country but torture its citizens, want the best for your child but think he will be better off with another family, find your first love again and walk over dead bodies to keep her. It was also refreshing that this was not a revenge drama even though the ML had every reason to be resentful. Despite his hardships, he was always positive and loyal without being a pushover. I really liked his character. I also liked that many of the characters were so ambiguous. I even felt sorry for the main villain in the end. All in all a good drama if you want to watch something different.

This is actually quite good. I hesitated a bit to start due to the rather low rating, but the story and setting sounded interesting so I gave jt a whirl. The plot around the family connections is intriguing, I really like the fl with her fierce unwavering loyalty, and the main villain is indeed excellently portrayed. I'm all caught up now to ep 14 and look forward to watching the final episodes.

Title Call It Love
Probably my favorite drama this year. Interesting story and stellar acting especially by the two main leads. I'm really glad the ending was not the BS 2521 served us with, but instead very fitting and believable.
Replying to Abraxas Feb 16, 2023
I have never heard the term "cook in Honeymoon Tavern" but it sure fits!
LOL, that would explain why I've never heard of that expression 😂
On Crash Course in Romance Feb 16, 2023
I find the main couple wonderful. It's nice to see that the attraction develops because of respect and caring rather than falling for a hot young thing. I'm also really impressed with the actresses portraying the evil moms. If I had to find fault with this drama, it would be the crime & mystery aspect, which is ironic because that's my favorite genre. But it seems quite unnecessary here. (Plus I don't want any of the suspects to be the bad guy!)
