Florida, but once upon a time Germany

I binged this the other night. It was better than what I had expected. Teo Yoo deserves another main role. I don't…
I have never heard the term "cook in Honeymoon Tavern" but it sure fits!

My main gripe about this drama, which I've been watching every week because I keep thinking, hey, something will happen in THIS episode (expecting romance, not murder) is actually the character of Kim Bom. She is obviously supposed to be a positive figure, but the way she treats her wannabe boyfriend is just awful. The much-maligned librarian is at least brutally honest to everyone.

Title Kairos
I like dramas with timey-wimey stuff and this one was really good actually. It was refreshing to see the characters being smart about solving their problems. There were twists and turns in each episode. People died but not really! Oddly enough I found the last episode disappointing. Everything is wrapped up neatly but all the action has happened already. Still, I think anyone who liked Signal will enjoy this drama as well.
On When the Weather Is Fine Dec 21, 2022
I didn't have very high expectations due to some of the reviews, but I'm really enjoying this drama. It's slow but never boring, the bookstore setting is like a warm cup of tea on a cold winter night, some of the characters are quirky in a good way, and the main leads have a really nice chemistry.
On The Good Detective Season 2 Dec 17, 2022
I re-watched Season 1 before watching Season 2 and really enjoyed both. The second season has a bit more of a cliche setting with the corrupt business tycoon, but the interaction between the detectives and the family background of the main character is still there, and I think that's what elevates this show above many other crime & mystery shows.

Is 1st season ends with cliffahanger? If not, is it happy ending? Is it worth watching?
No cliffhanger. Ending is satisfactory. Crime & mystery is my favorite genre and I thought this show was well worth watching. Great interaction between the detectives. I've watched season 2 now and enjoyed it very much as well.
On The Good Detective Nov 25, 2022
I just re-watched this show in preparation for season 2 and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Truly an excellent crime drama. It's less of a whodunit and more of a story about integrity and character.

the sudden german scene took me OUT lmao!!! so funny getting to understand what they're saying, although that…
Thank you for pointing that out! It was driving me nuts why the guy "from our headquarters in Germany" sounded both like a native German speaker and somehow not at the same time. I thought Ma Tan did alright with his German. That scene was so unexpected and so funny!

A very funny show, playing on a lot of tropes. The extra scene with the umbrella was hilarious. I love shows that don't take themselves too seriously.
On Bossam: Steal the Fate Sep 24, 2022
This was excellent, one of the best historical dramas I've seen. Not draggy, not boring, lots of fight scenes, plot twists, and absolutely amazing acting. Yeah, I have no idea why this is rated so low.
On Love in Contract Sep 24, 2022
Started to watch because I like Park Min Young and expected a typical romcom. What a nice surprise that there is quite a bit more to it.

Title Good Job
Thank you to everyone who mentioned Bossam in the comments. I'd never heard of that drama and started to watch it. Really enjoying it. As for Good Job, it's fun and silly and doesn't take itself too seriously. Sometimes that's just what you need.
On Today's Webtoon Sep 10, 2022
I like this drama because of the unique setting of a webtoon editorial department. Hopefully it's totally exaggerated because work as a webtoon artist and a PD seems pretty stressful. The characters are quite interesting. I feel that Sin Dae Ryuk is perhaps a bit too cliche of a character (childhood trauma, how novel...) but he's really well portrayed by the actor and his scenes are really moving.

Oh no! I think you confused Yeo Jin Goo (who is in the Crowned Clown) with Kim Min Jae(Poong)!
No I meant Kim Sang Kyung who plays the head of the clinic in this drama. He's the councillor in The Crowned Clown and was just fantastic in that role.
On Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist Sep 4, 2022
Still really enjoying this drama. I love the approach of different cases to solve every one or two episodes. Very nice to see a strong female lead who speaks her mind. Love the found family and especially the doctor. I've seen the actor in Racket Boys and The Crowned Clown and he was great in both.
On Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist Aug 19, 2022
I normally just lurk but this rating riled me up enough to post something. I'm really enjoying this show. It's basically a detective drama in a historical setting. I love the concept of the various mysteries being solved through the teamwork of the main characters. I love the friendship and support the characters show each other. This is way better than a 7.9!
