Man, this story if amazing. I also like to thank Ksp, for writing about this story These non-gay Thai dramas are really interesting ones, and i always yearn for some of these Thai dramas that are not gay focused to be fansub one day.
Thank you for much for this article, i never been watching HK Dramas, but i only used to watch HK films, since HK cinema we're pretty big and it has grow as one of the biggest well-known export Hong Kong entertainment back in 1960s through 1990s, and actors like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and other have contributed factors popularizing martial arts and action that HK has become well known for.
I really like Jackie Chan on the many films he is involved, and the behind the scenes that appears throughout the credit roll featuring fails we're pretty funnier back then. I never admitted to watch HK dramas, but there is always on how HK dramas quality has deteriorated in the recent years, of course, HK Dramas quality isn't good compared to C-Drama and TW-Drama on its own. Still, even though K-Drama is much more popular of its own.
Of course, i'd be willing to watch classic HK dramas since they we're said be really way popular back in 1960s through the late 1990s and the quality we're way better, based on what people has said on their forums and comment.
I am much more concentrated on K-Dramas, J-Dramas, C-Dramas, TW-Dramas and Thai dramas right now, but nonethless, Hong Kong dramas may be one of the least watched dramas to the new generations of asian dramas though and that Dramas from China has been taking a lot of role to reshape itself due to being an emerging economic powerhouse and C-Dramas are being produced and actors from Taiwan and Hong Kong are being starred in C-Dramas there.
Thank you for this kind of an amazing article, and Jackie Chan is one of the most admirable actors who i appreciate him during my younger heyday years.
Haruma Miura, Sei Asahina, Testuya Watari and now Yuko Takeuchi is gone too!
Shame at how these people (except for Watari) are taking their own life seriously, Japan really need to address issues somehow. Rest in peace Takeuchi, thank you for all your hard work for the J-dramas you starred in. I gave my condolence to her family and her two children she gave to her birth during her lifetime.
I am hoping to watch some of his J-Drama works in one day to honor his legacy.
No matter how his death was surely surprising, i am hoping to new generations will know his actor's legacy and the achievement he received throughout his career. RIP Haruma Miura
I usally go to watch Thai straight dramas such as Lakhorn, as i am usually a heterosexual person. Of course, a lot of Thai BL dramas have "The Series" to indicated that they are BL.
These Thai dramas look great and it sure has some variety, much like J-Drama, C-Drama, TW-Drama have! And the shorter episodes do make you feel like you are in an J-Drama way on how they also tend to have shorter episodes!
I really love the writing of these J-Dramas about you write. Of course, i know J-Dramas having too overacting and short-length and a little bit of humor can be easily irritated. I know J-Dramas from NHK Taiga and Natsuzora usually having more length. I could still easily agree that J-Dramas tends to have some really weird format on how J-Dramas tends to have shorter episodes and that J-Dramas often have some weird stories, not only that, they also tend to design casts for non-humans portraying human in an animal costume, in a way on how Kemonomimi (anime girls/boys with ears and tails) designs on anime characters portraying this way.
I don't mind on J-dramas having such an weird formats and types that they produce, but they are known to have an extreme variety that some dramas from K-Dramas could give it a try. And of course, not all J-Dramas doesn't get licensed in the west, but i always go to watch J-dramas illegally since i resort to piracy a lot.
J-Dramas also often have many J-Pop acts starring in the film, among them if Johnny's actors like Tomohisa Yamashita, Arashi members, NEWS, Kat-Tun, Hey! Say! JUMP, and some J-Pop acts like Keyakizaka46, AKB48 (former and current), etc.
Nice topic, i feel like East Asian actors have a huge more preference towards clean-shaven than just having beards. While i can blame for East Asian to have clean-shaven as a huge preference, i just don't understand why east asian ladies love clean-shaven though.
