I always ask this question about myself. In real life I would kick their rotten behinds to the curb, and never give them a chance.
Yet on a drama I just swoon, drool and melt.
Secret Garden is one as well.
I have been putting of the J-version for awhile. What you had to say in your comparison has me wanting to watch it. It is now my next J-drama to watch. :)
I am loving this drama. This was not even on my radar to watch. So glad I was talked into watching it, and giving it a chance. I love all the crunchy layers, of the story, and the characters. The more they peel back the more into this I am. Holding my breath, making my own thoughts of how the drama will unfold etc.I am hoping the writers will keep up the pace and the story line. A full review when it is finished.

I love both TW/Kdramas sometimes it is difficult to choose what to watch. I started the A-drama obsession watching k-drama. Then checked out TW- drama, loved it too.
I have watched this from the beginning, and have loved. I have heard many negative thoughts etc on this drama, so much so I started picking it apart myself around episode 8. Then I decided to take it for what it is, a Rom/Com. Looked at the bare bones of the story and what I wanted from it. Once I did that I was able to sit back and fall in love with this drama again. Did we pick apart the spy work in My Girlfriend is an Agent? NO! Yes some of it is badly done, especially the spy work. We would not have any comedy if we stuck to the melo, and left the comedy out.
I thought there was only 16 episodes, thanks to DiaNine for letting me know there are 20.

They are really different. Once I started looking at cultures, and how each view and see the world and TV it became so much easier to watch. Understand some of the ways things are dealt with.

I have come to expect a different form and story telling in J-dramas. This way I watch from a different perspective.
