How come this drama not in top 5 top airing here, while it is top 1 on dao yin..
It seems to be much more popular in China. Maybe because there are much more fans of original Mystic nine while very little people watched it here.

I don’t understand why some people watch so many ep of something they hate so much lol. I sometimes watch too much of something mid than I should but it’s never 3/10 heh.

You can of course but I am watching without seeing the first one and I don’t feel like I am lost. It is very stand alone.

What did you not like about it?
Well they are enemies this time so it has different vibe and pace is more like the standard Daomu Biji drama and not that fast paced as in Nanyang Mystery. I don't think it will get much "better" for you.

I think in Daomu Biji is actually no true magic/fantasy. Everything is explained by some kind of logic. Does it always make sense? No not really, you have to suspend your disbelief quite a lot. 🤭
