Heh. I called it. After watching ep 2, I noted that she wasnt dead and that the forensic doctor faked her death.
That being said, this isnt one of my favorites of JoongDunk series. I dont dislike it exactly. And I'm not for sure what has me put off on it. Maybe there was prior knowlege that it was gonna be released on Netflix for the western audiences and it affected either direction or editting? All I know is I've seen better from JoongDunk, so I dont think the issue is with them. And yes I know western audiences watch via Iqiyi and Gaga and YT platforms, but they are still usually geared to Eastern audiences at the forefront where Netflix is typically geared to Western at the forefront. And I could also be completely wrong and it's all in my head. Regardless, I will always support JoongDunk, and many thanks go to the rest of the staff and crew whose hard work has gone into this show!
What im realy hoping for is that Toh is out to make him love him then dump him. Cuz while yes they are all flawed, Jimmy is on another level. But unfortunately, that is probably not the case. Sigh.
I think bf is Team Lead based on the mouth in the 1st ep opening. And Bestie ends up with Barista based on the look they gave each other in the dojo. Although at this moment im rooting for Bestie as he has probably the most history, knowledge and yearning. Second is Team Lead, (actor looks like Est). He has the second most history and yearning, but has had to be professional. Barista feels like a player in it for the game of chase. Now these are just my opinions, if this show is based on a book or webtoon, i havent seen it. Looking forward to how it plays out.
Okay, so i don't know the source material at all. So i did enjoy the movie. I didnt find the CGI all that bad (mummy 2's scorpion king was horendous). That being said, once i came to read the comments and reviews about how bad the adaptation is, i can sympathize with those who love the novel. I felt the same way about the Queen of the Damned movie. My heart goes out those readers and hope that one day there will be a good adaptation, hopefully as a series.
Reset will join my list of comfort shows! I absofuckinglutely loved it. I was already a fan of Pond. I've watched all his stuff and was eagerly awaiting this series. Peter was phenomenal! And I will add him to my list of must watch actors. I know Pond doesn't do fixed couples. And I understand why and even agree with it tbh. However, I would be very very happy to see the two of them together again in another series. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my ships, but 1. I am from the west and fixed ships are not a thing here in the US. 2. Sometimes I fear ships get stuck and arent allowed to grow, develop or even show range as both a ship and as individual actors. 3. Insane Fandoms. Im kinda new to BL (tbh to Asian dramas as a whole) so my first ship to sink was NetJames. And I was absolutely floored by the fans reactions. I was bummed I wouldnt get to see them again together, but damn, they are human people who have lives, feelings, dreams and goals. Then I found out about some OhmNanon fans and some MewGulf fans. I do not understand AT ALL. Wow that was a bit of a tangent. I hope I remember to put this under a spoiler tag for spacial reasons. Anyway.....
Please give us a spin off with Weinai and Janine PLEASE 🙏
I have 4 scenes that I will replay repeatedly, can you guess which ones they are? (If you choose to answer this, please use the spoiler tags, thank you!)
I predict that while we started in a fictional present day country where gender conformity is law and enforced, we will end up at the end where she has changed history and she comes back to present day non fictional thailand. This is entirely a guess as I havent read or seen any of the webtoon its based on.
As far as the ep, i loved it! Im not a huge fan of camp, however I love Nut so much and he is just stunning in every way possible, inside and out! I have been really looking forward to this series forever! I have been a fan of Nut since Oxygen. And have loved watching his journey!
I would even go as far to say Peter is better looking than Nic and Nic was my fav actor for a very long time! In fact my ex husband was the spitting image of Nic when he was young lmao
Watching for the first time and just finished ep 6. Can anyone tell me who the actor is that asked Tofu for a selfie? I thought he might be one of Poppy's brothers but he's not listed in the cast.

And I have to say, Peter looks so much like a young Nicholas Cage.
