Captivating story with comedic moments and an outstanding cast especially Ju Ji Hoon. There were solemn moments like thanksgiving prayers for a donor too.
I applaud the cast, production team and the writer for their impressive and excellent team effort. 👏👏👏

I was scrolling down from the Reviews, reached Discussion and saw a commenter wrote that Dr Baek is based on a real life trauma doctor Dr Lee Guk Jong.

I googled Lee Guk Jong and tapped Wikipedia. Oh my goodness! Read all the sections and you will be floored by Dr Lee Guk Jong.

Joe, you misunderstood my above comment. What I meant was, the actress who plays Seyeong, does NOT look 30 yo but looks younger. Actress who plays Hana does look 28 to 30 yo.
And both Hana & Seyeong are supposed to be 30 or 31yo, right?

Yes, she has to continue working so that there will be interaction between Hana and herself. Otherwise, she can be written out of the story.

I realise that the more tragic or more heartbreaking the story is becoming, the more I would want to continue watching the drama. I interpret it as the Writer's ploy to keep the viewers glued to the drama as well as keep the ratings high.
Of course, I am no Writer so I might be wrong!

You see, Jingoo's heart surgery was paid by Yeojin as a donation of sorts. Yeojin then sponsored his education as well. Now the details were never shown to us because there was a time-skip.
When both Jingoo and Seyeong were around 12 years old, Seyeong was shown to be uninterested in Jingoo in one scene. Then we were shown they have grown up and were engaged to be married in about 6 months when Jiseok and Hana appeared on the scene.

I am sure Myeongji planned this stupid marriage so that Seyeong will be the wife of the successor of Yeojin.

Obviously there was never any love between Jingoo and Seyoung. And Seyeong also had a relationship with Jiseok when they were studying in US.
