Are you telling me we're only getting 6 more episodes of this gem? It's sooo much fun! And the OST is so good..

Ok, nevermind, this is simply a classic example of lazy writing. The only thing that bothers me is that two of my favorite actors signed up for this...

From the comments I've seen, I get the feeling that a lot of people are confusing concepts with impressions. I love slow-burn romantic storylines (literally, Just Between Lovers has been my number one since it came out) or, for example, last year I really liked Call It Love. Even though both dramas are from different genres, we can all agree that they have a slow pace. That has nothing to do with the fact that in this series, character development basically doesn’t exist. Both of our main characters act like teenagers, not like people in their thirties. The moment there’s even a hint of healthy communication in their relationship, it gets buried by, for example, a terrible restaurant scene. Why on earth don’t they just explain things to each other? Why don’t they communicate, especially since they’re supposed to be best friends? How am I supposed to believe their romantic relationship will work?

I can't help but find myself not really rooting for the main couple to end up together. After giving it some thought, I realize the main issue I have with this K-drama is that Seok Ryu's behavior is so off-putting that I just can't understand why he would spend his whole life pining after her. Many people have criticized Seung Hyo for how he treated her in the recent episodes, and I agree—it wasn't great. But did you notice how she treated him from the very start? Someone mentioned that his reserved, calm nature needs her fiery temperament, and while that might be true, what I see most in her is yelling, scolding, hitting, demanding attention, not respecting personal space, and crossing boundaries... I completely understand why Seung Hyo is trying to resist his feelings.

The story combines so many elements and genres, it's a complete chaos, but I still watch it perhaps only for Rowoon's expressive eyes.

Title My Dearest Spoiler
Because that's who he wasHe used to be an infamous womanizer and bear in mind she hasn't seen what we see in JH,…
I am aware that he was a womanizer in the past, but that's not exactly what I wanted to point out... However, Gil Chae formed an opinion about him based on information that reached her even before she met him. And that hasn't changed. In fact, she didn't even give him a chance to get to know him from a different perspective. She didn't even ask him what important matters he was dealing with when he left for several years; instead, she immediately concluded that he was somewhere having fun with other women. Yes, she got this information from Ryang Eum, but I'd rather listen to the person I love and ask if it's true before making conclusions based on information from someone else. Especially when that person lied about something as crucial as the death of another person.

As for his lie about the rescue... yes, he should have been honest, but he explained his reasons. Moreover... from the beginning, I think Gil Chae should have trusted her own eyes when she thought she saw Jang Hyun fighting on the island. I can imagine that another main female character in a different series might have looked around and made sure that Jang Hyun wasn't nearby, especially after the officer said that he wasn't the one who defeated the invaders. I understand that she doesn't know what we viewers do, but from a woman who mourns and calls her beloved's name on that cliff, who earnestly pleads for his return, I expected a slightly different way of communication. That's all..

Title My Dearest
I'm rewatching episode 10, and it never ceases to surprise me how everyone is convinced they know what kind of person Jang Hyun is and they tell him how he should behave and how he should live... Whether it's Ryang Eum, who thinks he needs to protect him from (in his eyes) the wicked woman, or Yeon Jun, who is the last person who should lecture anyone on how to behave properly. The worst part of it all is that Gil Chae is among those who actually don't know Jang Hyun, she has her own idea about him and constantly accuses him of being a bad, irresponsible womanizer...

Title My Dearest Spoiler
I'm not angry at Gil Chae because she didn't leave with Jang Hyun, but because she didn't explain the reasons why she did it well enough... I can understand that she didn't want to leave her father; I couldn't do it myself, but I really don't like the way she did it. I hope Jang Hyun finds happiness in the arms of another woman who can appreciate his qualities. Realistically, I'm aware that it won't happen, but to any close friend of mine, I would recommend that they stop fixating on that one woman and start living life for themselves, especially for their own well-being.

I won't lie... just last week, I believed that waiting for the second season in September would be tough for me. After today's episode, it won't be like that. I will watch the next season, but not because of the relationship of our couple... Honestly, I think GC doesn't deserve JH. If it weren't for that opening beach scene (thanks to which it's obvious that it won't happen), I would wish him to find happiness with someone else and completely forget about GC....

Title My Dearest
I know there's a hot topic of discussion about Gil Chae right now, and other things are escalating, but... I love Jang Hyun's character! He's not the typical main hero with typical good-hearted qualities, but thanks to his cunning approach, he's still alive. It's refreshing to see the main character of a Korean drama with these character traits. At the same time, I like the depth of his character. He's a person with a lot of experience, clever, cunning, able to handle any situation, but at the same time, he's a torn human soul that doesn't belong anywhere. Many series claim to have complex characters in the lead roles, but in the vast majority of cases, we as viewers are only told in the early episodes that the main character is a complex personality, but for the rest of the series, they behave predictably and like a typical main character. As for Gil Chae, I think many of you are judging her too harshly. Let's wait for the next episode :). Anyway, I agree with those who wish for Gil Chae (in the next season) to express her love for Jang Hyun more openly. Overall, I think both of them should be more honest with each other. But then we wouldn't have 20 episodes, only two, right? :D

My preferences regarding TV shows have indeed changed since the time of The Innocent Man, however, tell me a modern drama that has a better soundtrack (expect for Cruel City).

End result here … I was thinking she dies for whatever reason .. could be politics maybe and he does all of…
Right from the start, I've had this feeling that GC will die by the end... At the very least, that's what JH seems to think, judging by the expression on his face in the beach scene. However, it might turn out that GC is actually alive. God, please, let this not be a Gone with the Wind with an ending like Romeo and Juliet.

I am completely captivated by this drama. The performances of Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin are truly exceptional. Despite only 4 episodes being aired, I can imagine that this drama will surpass my favorite historical series (such as The Princess's Man).

The main actor is the incarnation of boredom
Regardless of what I think about the story of this series, I believe you've mistaken the actor (he didn't really appear in Business Proposal, as you mentioned in the deleted post). If you had seen other movies and series that Junho has starred in, you wouldn't doubt his acting talent.

The only reason I started watching this series is Junho. The story didn't really appeal to me (based on the description or the first episode), but Junho looks so good (as usual), so I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Korean dramas often start off with promising beginnings, but unfortunately, after a few initial episodes, the plot tends to become tedious and filled with unnecessary scenes, which takes away from the early potential of the series. . This particular series was no exception. When I found out that it would have 20 episodes instead of the usual 16, I hoped that the investigation part of the story would get enough space and that we would get a clear resolution and explanation. Unfortunately, the creators did not take advantage of that extra time and instead, we got a rushed ending in the last few minutes. Moreover, there was an unnecessary and nonsensical time jump. However, what disappoints me the most about this series is that the main female character was initially presented as smart and capable, but her behavior throughout the story was the opposite of a skilled investigator.
