THE RIGHT WAY TO ADAPT NOVEL
As a long time Gu Man's fan, I absolutely love how all her work being adapted in drama from dog blood Hei Mosheng; promote Lou Yunxi when he was just a new actor (played the youngerself of the ML) and Come eat Shan-Shan into Slightly Smile is Alluring aka Love o2o and You Are My Glory which heighted Yang Yang prestige as Male actor. The drama resolved an un-answerd hole from novel like the trash dad and his xiaosan mother-daughter duo etc.
When I heard they want to adapted this to novel my first pick for ML are Wu Lei, Gong Jun, Wang Xingyue, Chen Xingxu, Cheng Lei and lastly Liu Yuning laoshi. The reason because their towering height and piercing cold stare like the novel describe. The final they pick Song Weilong which I'm kind a dissappointed knowing Weilong weakness is in cultivated acting but he shocked me. He is improved 80%. The first 5 eps, it hard to watch because he is acting like "I'm angry, cool, cold, awesome" but the past 5 eps, I enjoyed it. For FL I dont have complaint to MaiMai acting, she's awesome and her team use great outfit and makeup style. I dont recognize actor that played as an annoying Zhang Xu but my friend said that he played as Pei Shiheng in Fangs of Fortune. He picked an intersting character, he is boold young man.
The actor played Jiang Rui is great, he played a younger part of ML in Joy of Life: Fan Xian. Han Haolin need more project to exlore his actimg range. Meanwhile Zhang Xu's brother Zhang Fei played Gu Zicheng, I feel something wrong with him. His acting are great but most of his project character has the same trait; little manipulative. If they casted Lin Ziye that will be a little reunion of Fangs of Fortune.
I cant wait how they potray Xiguang roasted Sheng's family and screw them over because of Ye Rong conduit. Plus how Ye Rong and Zhang Xu's potrayal when Xiguang tipped Ye Rong using email that Yusen's cousin which YeRong boss just playing her.
And again the light are too bright and the fake car scene, it hurt my eyes. The ost are awesome because they hired Liu laoshi Liu Yuxin. Hope the remaining eps keep us on our toes because the comeback of Xiguang's mom as an awesome and overbearing president scene that us the novel reader want to see. She beat that stupid ex-husband company into losing money from projects and took back the house/villa the Xiaosan duo reside. Xiguang co-worker change from a clumsy (she keep being teased for making Xiguang fall because forget bring keys) into a perfect assistant to Xiguang's mom.
