Of course romance is a big part in Dr. Romantic, and we are yet to see how they will play out the romance genre in the Resident Playbook.

- A lot of focus on family and relationships
- Both have a strong willed mother and a calm father
- Both feature multiple couples and provide ample screen time to develop their relationships
- Hyeon Mirea's character is very similar to OB's FL Beak Ja Eun, they are both very understanding and empathetic characters
- A traditional home is shown in both dramas where the children grow up with a grand parent
- Both dramas keep you hooked on as they don't drag an issue for too long.

The plot isnt really similar, but:
- both dramas are set on the backdrop of a small village where everyone knows eachother
- We enjoy the open country side in both these dramas
- The grumpy-city-man-moving to the country side is another similarity that both these dramas share
- Falls in love with a local girl

- I particularly liked how both dramas didn't have a second lead and there was no extra competition for the female leads heart XD

- The leads in both dramas are childhood friends, albeit in A River Runs Through It, their friendship starts in middle school whereas in True Colours their friendship starts off as kids.

- Both dramas have the main leads separate for a while
