unnecessary misunderstanding and subpar plot
Love in the Clouds started off okay the visuals are stunning, the chemistry between the leads is undeniable, and the setup promised an emotional, romantic journey. Unfortunately, the story quickly loses focus, weighed down by unnecessary secrets and a storyline that drags far longer than it should. From episodes 1 to 23, the female lead repeatedly avoids telling the truth, even when she has countless chances to come clean. What could have been an honest, heartfelt revelation turns into a frustrating cycle of avoidance and misunderstanding. It feels less like natural character development and more like the writers were stretching the plot to fill episodes.
The pacing is inconsistent, and certain subplots appear only to disappear without resolution, making the story feel confusing at times. Despite this, the acting is solid the leads carry their roles with sincerity and manage to keep viewers emotionally invested, even when the script doesn’t fully support them.

too long too little plot
it was just visuals, FL most times look like she was lost in thought or spacing out, ML was like a creep at the beginning. the ex boyfriend arc was way too lacking it makes no sense, he was selfish and his parents don’t like her but he was okay all of a sudden he became self centred. then he ghosted her and came back acting as if nothing happened. the second couple could have been given a storyline that would have made a great filler for the drama as they were just there as props for the Fl. sadWas this review helpful to you?
misleading and dangerous mindset for young girls
Jiang Mu is a bad example for young girls because it promotes unhealthy and unrealistic ideas about relationships. The drama centers the female lead’s worth around romance, while romanticizing emotional dependency, possessiveness, and unequal power dynamics as signs of love. Most concerning is the incest aspect, where romantic feelings develop between characters raised in a sibling like or familial relationship and are framed as “forbidden love” rather than clearly condemned. This blurs important moral and social boundaries and risks normalizing inappropriate behavior. Overall, the drama sends harmful messages about self worth, boundaries, and what a healthy relationship should look like. Was this review helpful to you?
weak acting
the plot was very weak, it was a nice watch but the FL with her deer in headlights expression was so jarring. she’s promising but her emotions needed a lot of work. dai lu wa should have gotten the main role as she’s a better actress. And the forced love triangles made absolutely no sense, it’s like a Wattpad story from a 12 year old.the whole drama should have wrapped up in 24 episodes, sing weilong did grow as an actor as he did a way better job here than he’s done in the past so I’m looking forward to his upcoming projects.

It’s like a mixture of reply 1988 with the first two episodes
Little cherry is a bubbly happy go kid that everyone in their small town loves . She’s got her best friends in form of her brothers and a girl she likes but clashes with a lot (typical kids relationship) she worries a lot and tends to care way too much. The first episode is just their childhood stories and the level of commitment those kids have for one another is top notchWas this review helpful to you?
