I really liked Mechanics so I decided to watch this one and unfortunately, I was seriously disappointed. As the previous comments say - there was no chemistry between the boys. The actor playing Gun was seriously misscased. I don't know what are Thai standards for beauty (I assume the fact that he's tall and has fair skin was why he was cast as a hottie) but I was kind of cringing every time Gun approached Bam. [spoiler]And all the friends pushing Bam onto him and then being surprised when they they found them in bed was so weird. Isn't it what you were expecting from them?[/spoiler] I see people saying that it's "cute romance without angst" but it actually made me more uncomfortable than anything. It looked like everyone was just having fun on Bar's struggling and he had literally no one who was taking his concerns seriously. Everyone just had fun pushing him into the arms of a real stalker and extremely possessive guy. [spoiler]The pillow talk about how they don't want others too see the other one and not letting Bar go and do whatever he wanted was scary. [/spoiler] I get that Asian people think about love differently and they find this kind of possessive behavior as an act of loyalty and love but for a western viewer it's just... Even having that cultural difference, in mind it was hard to watch.
Do you have to watch tossara before watching this?
I've watched this one first and I think the plot was pretty clear. It would be easier to get the relations with friends but the main couple plot is easy to follow without Tossara.
18 episodes for a drama is a bit unusual. Looking how the ending was rushed, maybe they actually wrote it for 20 episodes but had to change at the end? It looks like this to me. Nonetheless, this was a good drama and unlike most of the comments, I actually liked the last episode. They did not close couple of the plot lines but it was still enjoyable as a whole and made the main characters decisions made sense. The only problem I had was Go Ah Ra. I know she has some big antifan base but I never had an issue with her... till I watched this drama. It gets a bit better in the middle but some of the first episodes I just couldn't stand her.
The movie was quite fun, very much the "korean style" of the comedy, with lots of shouting and ridiculous characters but... the end when they show how all the cascaders got hurt and even the start, it just made me really uneasy. I feel bad for enjoying it when so many people got hurt during making the movie.
There was a scene in The Lies Within (his last drama), where a part of his white shirt was showing off like a clerical collar. That was the moment when I thought he would made a fine priest. Next thing you know, this movie plot comes out... xD
