yeah the brother from different timeline as we saw in episode 1 he's dead and possible falling from the sky with suitcase but it feels like they have same cause of death, as we know his brother died and the line that "the body was quite damaged, so you might not recognize him" it feels like they are same but died in present (2020) and found the body the time in past that we saw in episode 1.

as we saw in trailer Tae sul build a Time machine when all the crisis start, we know that Tae sul Run away or set a journey to find his brother using that Time machine.

Han Tae sul need to survive in able to save their future.

I think when he open the suitcase maybe he became curious about the things or something in it, as we know when shin hye open her suitcase there's something like a source or energy whatsoever that doesn't exist in his time and when he suspect about his brother's death and when he saw a man with a suitcase that falling while the airplane crashing that he think it was his brother, it gives me some thought of his brother was alive and adopted in the future however when he open the suitcase and became curious about future and apocalypse in trailer maybe their future about shin hye i think she saw future about 5-10 seconds like she has a super power like the other supernatural movie when she said the numbers before it happen she collapsed and her nose bleed.
