I'm 23 and I hate dramas with weak and naive female leads. It's usually the case in japanese dramas, but korean and chinese has more strong female leads. But the part with lack of communication is common a lot even though there is a strong FL in the drama. Especially historical dramas. But if it has good ending I don't mind, if bad I don't watch it.

Well, that's the problem of asian dramas and sometimes it's hard to watch the drama or movie because the characters are not able to communicate properly and defend themselves which leads to many misunderstandings. But as a westerner I see it differently, maybe Asians have different point of view or they just want to put more suspense into the drama.
It's not a bad drama but omg the chinese overdubbing is sooo damn poor. I always hate because it sounds just wrong but when it at least maches the mouth then ok, but her it doesn't much so it's super irritating. That's why I prefer older dramas with no overdubbing. I like to see tge actors but I also want to hear them, not one voice who dubs 30 different people.
I totally loved gong zi. I was watching until the end mainly for him. The colour of his clothes was so beautiful. It fits him so well. He was just soo loveable and she kept breaking his heart. Literally. I liked how he wasn't bad but not totally good either. Wang Duo made such an amazing job!!! I hope to see him play in more historical dramas like this. He deserves more attention.
Does anyone know where to watch this in English version. Because I can find it only with the stupid Chinese dubbing, which is horrible, because I can't enjoy the actors real voices.

Regarding timeline in this whole series, it's hard to keep track because the actors are changing almost with every new season. I like Tomb of the sea but I was confused when I saw Reunion and both Wu Xie and Black glasses looked younger. Though I like Black glasses actor in Reunion, I like more Ji Chen from ToTS. But let's see what cast they will prepare for us, I will watch it anyway since Grave robber's chronicles is one of the best series I've ever seen.

I agree with everything but the godfather. I didn't like Wengu from the start and what he did "for Duan Mu" was stupid. Also the God of Justice is terrible as her brother, like she is a weak baby doll. She is a strong warrior damn! But I quite don't understand where the godfather is greedy. In my opinion, so far everything he did was helping others. I like his character very much (the actor is truly amazing, quite underrated)
I am a little bit confused about the story after they went into the abyss. Why Zhan Yan and Godfather are normal, even though there is also a Godfather's ancestor Jiang Yi, but Duan Mu "went" to her old body and can't remember so far. I agree. I like Qin Hao as Wu Xie. Yang Yang was the best and Pang zi's actors are also cool. Black glasses was great in Reunion, but his character was different from Glasses in ToTS. He was less mature and joking found a girl. I don't know, ToTS Hei ye was just more serious amd mature, so it was a bit weird the changing.

No idea and it's pissing me of too. And it's really confusing. Tomb of the sea cast looked more mature than Reunion cast, even though ToTS should be happening 2014 and Reunion 2017. But I have to say that the best cast was probably in Reunion and I wish them to show up again. Though I really liked Hei Ye in Tomb of the sea more than in Reunion.
