Like when he was casted as Sima Zhao the producer introduced him to Secret of the three kingdoms's crew. Even in VSs, I think he was invited personally bu Huang Xiaoming to Chinese restaurant.

Acting shows' goal is for actors to display their talent and directors/producers to choose cast for their work. He got the role of both Shen Yi and Luo Hua (Adoring) from this show.

I'm feeling conflicted these days. In one hand, I'm anxious for his next work. But in the other hand, this delay means he's taking his time to choose script and not film non stop just so he won't be forgotten. I'm happy that he gained more confidence in himself and can have better choices.

I don't dislike BE if it's for a reason. I have seen a drama where the ml was not exactly a villain but a bad guy who get his revenge on people in an extreme way. Later he repented but ended up dying to save the fl.

I don’t usually read male centered novels, so I’m not sure if there are any good ones out there. But there was a manga/anime I really loved, and the male lead is a surgeon. I just checked and saw that a Chinese adaptation was announced back in 2020, but I’m not sure if it’s still in production or if it was dropped. Now, I can’t imagine anyone but him playing that role.

He was rumored for Spying? I'm the opposite of you, I actually feel better knowing it's just a rumor. That kind of storyline has been overused in recent years. While I do want to see him play a spy someday, I’d prefer it not be in a republican or patriotic drama. It would be far more interesting if he played a villain, maybe a drug dealer who’s secretly working as a spy within the police. Of course, with China’s censorship, he’d probably end up dying in the end.

He doesn't have to go for promotion. Last year Zhang Jingyi and Liu Lian went to promote I miss you, but he was busy filming Filter and couldn't come.
