I love how he got his memories back. It’s not complicated like a lot of the theories out there has given out but it makes sense for this drama, given it’s the last 2 episodes. There is not 3-4 SunJae’s out there running around… just one SunJae whose soul knows what it wants.

My favorite cdramas are 24-32 episodes long but mostly 24. That would have been perfect for Lovely Runner.

I grew up with immigrant parents and my bff also speaks with bad English grammar even when he’s been in America since he was 18.. lol.. but to be fair.. he speaks fluent mandarin and fluent Japanese on top of the English. I can barely speak any other language lol. Bad English bothers me too but reading translated Chinese novels, even when grammar is bad, i kind of get what they’re saying because of the people around me lol

Shipping characters and then their perspective actors is a very Asian thing and i am very Asian (besides also being American lol). I don’t ship that many couples but it definitely gave me some happiness when Tao and Ryota announced they were together. But i also absolutely love Tao and Kento together. I will be honest though, i don’t watch jdrama unless it got English dubs so im not really that familiar with a lot of jdramas.. though i don’t know why. I’ve been to Japan like 2 dozen times and i spent my childhood (and money!) watching anime and reading manga.. and i still do to this day. Jdrama just doesn’t appeal to me like Chinese or Korean drama.

The female lead has a personality. It’s cute but she does have low self esteem cause of her trauma. She will be stronger willed in the later episodes, i promise.

Speaking of jdrama, my jdrama ship has sailed. The main leads from “my brother loves me too much” has gotten married and have a kid. People who shipped the female lead with the main guy from Alice in borderland are totally disappointed their ship sank. But i read previous comments telling the main male lead from “my brothers loves me too much” to be careful 🤣🤣🤣 then boom.. instagram post that they were getting married and expecting a kid. I think this was last year when i just finished watching first season of AIB lol. I had fun going back and reading (not so much) delulu fans and their theories about the actors on soompi

It’s not perfect but i love it. I love all the tropes that were in the drama and i don’t mind the adopted sibling becoming lovers with her brother trope, which a lot of people were complaining about 😅🤣. They were childhood friends and he always wanted to marry her (he asked her) even when they were 7 years old. Just so happens that she got adopted by her parents’ friends when her parents died. The ML had been in love with her the whole time and he was cold and mean cause he couldn’t express his romantic love the way he wanted to.

People also complained about her being a weak female that always need the ML’s help. That’s not a problem for me either. I love when the FL can rely on her partner.

I read the book it was based on and combination of the book and the drama, a lot of things that didn’t make sense in the drama that a lot of people complained about made sense in conjunction with the book.

I think you should try to watch at least 2-3 episodes and see if it’s your cup of tea. I try not to read too much in the reviews cause i enjoyed so many dramas that people hated or have low rating. Shihao and Yating made such a striking couple too. They are the only ones i follow on weibo lol.

Yes! It was my 5th cdrama during covid and was obsessed. I still watch it over and over when there is nothing else to watch. The only other drama I’m delulu that the leads are dating despite Xu Yating being 7 years older 😅
