i mean, if you’re bigger than most Koreans and are planning on clothes shopping in Korea, i wouldn’t recommend it but if you’re planning on eating, enjoying the sites and buying every skincare they have on hand, i definitely recommend it. i loveeeeed Seoul and Busan and planning to go to Jeju Island in the future.

No, i wasn’t offended at all because i didn’t take that personally. My friend is Taiwanese and she knows how it is. I am very aware of how Asians in Asia are because i travel to Asia all the time. As for me, i am mixed but more Asian than white and very East Asian passing. i buy clothes from Asian retailers (high quality clothes that gets shipped from Asia, mostly Hong Kong) and i buy medium or large… i tell you, no one who are above 130lbs if they’re tall can fit (forget if you’re short, you ain’t fitting if you’re 5 feet and 100 pounds)
Asians in Asia cannot be compared to the western people. they will tell you you’re fat to your face if/when needed. They won’t hold back. They won’t see it as being offensive but as being honest.

Yeah but unfortunately what’s more important is that her Korean peers perceived her as beautiful, cause it’s what gives her the job (or at least partly). Koreans are very much into what’s conventional and stereotypical attractive.
Let me tell you, when i went to Korea and went to a boutique, me and my friend were told we were too big to fit into any of their stuff. lol. i am 5’5 and was like 112 pounds. My friend is 5’5 and 100 pounds. lol. The shop keeper was telling us we were too big lol. We had to explain to her that we were both size 6 in shoes and we were interested in the shoes so she let us in. (The largest shoe sizes they carried was size 6) But it was weird how her first reaction to us was that we were big.
But my point is, there will be gatekeepers KHY needs to push aside who will think she’s not good enough. She needs to persevere.

I agree. Unfortunately, that’s how it is as an actress in the kpop industry. There are many fan girls who are willing to spend money on BWS but KHY doesn’t have that. More fan girls than fanboys 😁 so the focus is always gonna be on the main male lead. Not BWS fault definitely.. just the industry itself. No worries though, i have no doubt she will find herself on top sooner or later. she’s the kind of person that will keep working on it and punch out hurdles until she gets what she wants. There are many actresses much much better looking than her but her acting bears no competition.
