I agree! I enjoyed both her dramas with her as the lead role tremendously. Sheās filming a drama or movie right now but i think sheās support role. The article was in Chinese and the google translation isnāt really the best.
I do love the slice of life story but the main leadsā kissing scenes are sooo bad. I started to watch this because they said the romance is better than Sweet First Love but itās not. Sweet first love might have stupid situations but the main leads chemistry was on point and you get excited about their romance. Iām not so invested on this drama. Iām on episode 30 and i hope it improves later on.
lol. I enjoyed reading your review. I was reading the reviews a few weeks ago and noted that everyone seem to rate this drama super low but i enjoyed it tremendously and even wrote a review myself now just so it has a 10/10 review rating to even out all the negative ones š
I was gonna mention on my review that i didnāt find the pseudo siblings weird so it wasnāt a problem for me but i do have a problem with (huge) age gap women with younger men like The Rational Life and thatās why i havenāt watched it despite being a huge fan of Wang Hedi! People already knew they grew up together and are āsiblingsā and if that bothers them, then donāt watch, right? I donāt watch age gap dramas and complain about the age gap in the reviews. I just donāt watch it at all cause i already know those kind of dramas are not for me.
Oh Shihaoās patch on his neck was from a neck surgery that needed to be covered. Makeup will cause infection and thatās why it needed to be covered like that. His tattoo is on his left side of the neck and there were some scenes where you can see the foundation lines.
He was very handsome in the most natural way in Sweet First Love. He looks very different now based on the pictures Iāve seen recently but canāt wait for his two new dramas that are coming out. And canāt wait for him to be in the main role again, especially if itās with Kabby again. I thought they had so much chemistry in the drama.
Iām new to Chinese drama⦠my sister introduced me to meteor garden on January 2 this year and i thought it was awesome. Watched EverNight and loved that too. Saw like 2 other dramas after that i dropped after like 10-12 or so episodes.. one of them being far away love. Anyway, Iāve completed 5 dramas so far and Sweet First Love is my favorite. Iāve r watched a dozen times and still canāt get enough. I thought Ren Shihao was awesome in his acting and Kabby Hui was excellent too. Iāve seen reviews where they said she was horrible but her character is meant to be like that. I got my friend to watch this and sheās enjoying this too.. so far sheās on episode 7 since she can only watch an episode at a time since sheās busy.
Anyway, i read the book and it was much darker but i enjoyed that as well though not as much as the drama. Iām glad the drama is a little lighter and fluffier. Loved all the episodes and i even downloaded them on my hardrive so i can watch it without advertisements (plus better quality picture than the YouTube ones). Love the chemistry of the main leads. I definitely recommend.
