Very instructive and well directed movie, I would recommend it if you want to learn about Korean history and especially the events of Gwangju city in 1980. Song Kang Ho delivers a mind blowing performance as expected and Ryu Joon Yeol’s apparence is a plus

Actually I was thinking that they made progress with this one as Mirae is still insecure even after her plastic surgeries, meaning that apparence might not be the solution but gaining self confidence is. I guess we will have to watch til the end to understand what the real message is

Soo Ah character reminds me of Sae from Peach Girl

They have the same kind of vibe, also a more realistic view on society. I really do enjoy those dramas as well :)

You should try Come and Hug me, I started yesterday and I’m hooked, it’s really intense

This is only my opinion but the relationship between the three siblings was the most realistic and relatable part. I live with my two siblings as well and we spend hours drinking tea and just sitting and talking about random stuff, we all have major problems in our lifes and we are well aware of them but we do not discuss it because sometimes you just don’t want to talk about it, actually the time me spend together after a long day at work is a relaxing time when the last thing we want to discuss is our problems. The two siblings in the drama are also well aware that their brother is having a hard time at work but what can they do? They are both unemployed and I believe they do not dare give him advice about the working place, but it doesn’t mean that they don’t support him. In fact, when in need they are always there for him, remember when he was injured and the whole neighborhood came to the rescue or when his wife cheated and they absolutely wanted to help? About the dialogues I would say that the drama is slow and it doesn’t have to be rich because we can feel all the emotions of the characters and when finally someone dares to say something meaningful we FEEL all the impact of his words. This drama gave me chills most of the time when I usually don’t feel anything while watching random drama

Honestly, without any hatred I tried to understand HW’s final choice but I can’t, it doesn’t make sense to me. At first I was really sad and disappointed but now I’m so confused. It would be great if he makes an interview or an official statement and explain his choice because from a viewer perspective it is really disturbing and I don’t think it does him any good as well. In fact, from outside he was completely devoted to YJ (his words, his attitude, the dates, the way he looked at her ..) I can’t believe it was all just an act?? Maybe the producers made a major editing or cut some parts to confuse the hell out of us? I need an explanation

His presence is the highlight in every dramas he’s on, I hope he’ll get a lead role very soon !!

If I think about it now, this drama had the potential to be one of the best but ended up as a huge disappointment

Of course I understand that it’s not meant for first degree haha I usually do appreciate silly humour and ridiculous situations as well but not this time. The drama isn’t bad, I appreciate both actors and their previous dramas but I didn’t feel anything while watching. Kang Ki Young apparence was the only highlight to me, but it’s just my personal opinion :)

Actually, the male lead is one of the main reasons why I didn’t get hooked, I find the arrogant/rich/narcissist thing so outdated and kind of annoying, I mean it’s 2018 and the rich man/ poor woman is still on .. if at least there was something original about the plot but there is nothing new

I thought the two first eps were just so so but the reviews here are so good, maybe I’m getting old for this kind of dramas

The suspens was on point til the end
