If I had to describe this drama, I’d say it’s like an instruction manual. While there are some heart-fluttering moments, it’s not particularly exciting, but it also serves as a guide on how romance should be done. No breakups, no noble idiocy, no love triangles, and several other common pitfalls. Considering how many other romance kdramas struggle with the tropes this drama handles well, I'd give it at least a 9 for that.
In short, if you enjoy something wholesome and cozy, this drama is for you. But if you’re looking for more passion and intensity, it might not be your cup of tea.

I get what you're trying to say. The main characters, especially, spend a lot of time discussing saving each other and their superpowers, making it harder to relate to them because their depth is more tied to their abilities. In my opinion, this is a drama that needs to be seen to the end to truly understand what the writer is trying to convey. I wasn't as keen on watching it weekly, but once I finished it and let all the information sink in, I finally understood the concept of time used and the central theme of this drama and appreciate it for what it is. But if it doesn't vibe with you then maybe you're not the target audience and that's perfectly okay, we all have our preferences.
I want to love this as much as everyone else but the dialogue and progression of their relationships feels so…
This drama isn't made for everyone. Most of the characters are flawed and almost unlikeable for the majority of the show, and the romance is very subdued with an unnatural progression. However, this drama is a testament to what happens when the writer & director have a clear vision of what they want to achieve. It's like watching a 12-hour-long film. Personally though, that's exactly why i like this drama. It's a breath of fresh air while still managing to be cohesive. Im tired of seeing the same types of dramas with the same types of characters, so this one is a much-welcome change.
It pains me to see this drama being underrated. It's deserving of more. It's a piece of cinematic art, elevated by the music, oozing with freshness, brought to life through the clear vision of the writer and director and of course masterfully performed by the cast. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I bet everyone would agree that it's definitely atypical of its kind and that alone deserves appreciation amidst a sea of very typical dramas.
it’s not about him in the past (the past him is just a copy of him not the real him)because he’s already dead…
Instead of randomly, I think of it as predetermined. Gwi-ju being missing and the funeral without a body are all because he's actually in the future, summoned by his son. Whether he jumped out with Da-hae or not will still have the same outcome because his mother has already dreamt of his 'death.' The time loop in this drama is a closed one. Nothing can be changed. Everything is set in stone, and we're only seeing how the story unfolds. It's all a matter of how and when.
I agree on the talking. If the had just rushed instead of dramatically monologuing at each other, they would all…
Yeah, I agree with your first point. As to how his kid knows when and where to look for him, seeing by the ball example, i think his power works by focusing on two things: the subject (his dad) and the moment Gwi-ju was lost (to Da-hae in this case, which is after he saved her from the fire 18 years ago). The ending makes so much sense when you think of the drama as just one timeline with no branching, a closed time loop. What's meant to happen will always happen; it's just a matter of how and when.

It's my pet peeve too and i got frustrated during those scenes but when i think about it again, the same things would've happened, the only difference would be where gwiju was when he's summoned by his son so yeah the 5 years gap and funeral without the body would still happen no matter what.
OH MY GOD I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! It's been so long since I'm completely satisfied with a drama's ending and this…
It's a long shot, but my theory is that gwiju is the one who made her life colorful by creating her first happy memory (helping her ride a bike). In turn, dahae is the first person he's able to save by imprinting that happy memory. Hence, that moment is the first time we see the past in full color. Also, she was the only one who was able to interact with him (his world still being black and white) previously because that happy moment hadn't happened for him yet, but it had already happened for dahae, so he just needs to catch up to that moment for his power to evolve.
But still couldn't understand what makes the lead couple 's connection so strong that dahae is able to see gwijoo…
