Honestly I don't know why no one's talking about how different it is compared to the anime/manga, a lot of people seem to like it but I so felt disappointed. I might be wrong but that's how I felt when I watched it 😭
I'm genuinely disappointed by this drama, they ruined the anime/manga and didn't highlight the most important parts of it. If they didn't have the budget to make it exactly the same as the manga, what was the point of doing this drama? Just give us a second season of the anime smh. One of the most important and fun part of this anime was the group leadership activity trip they did, they replaced that whole section with cleaning a swimming pool??? When they were meant to be cleaning the outside of the school. It was so weird. And don't get me started on the acting I literally feel like screaming right now since Ao Haru Ride is one of my most fave anime/manga out there. I have no words. The even cut the part out where futaba and kou got on the wrong train, most comedy was cut out and it turned too serious smh. This is a slice of life, romcom anime not constantly serious and dramatic. Even the friendship between the characters were not depicted properly. Even the library scene was different. Idk what to say. Where was the lip gloss scene? Where was the kou messing futaba's heair scene? Where was the constant funny bickering? Where was the scene where kou and futaba were near the river and he went on top of her as a joke? Why did they do the iconic head on table scene in a classroom when it was a different setting? WHY DID THEY CHANGE EVERYHTING? AND THE MUSIC????? Why am I hearing rushed dramatic piano music in every single fucking scene? It was sensory overload. I wanted a second season of the anime not whatever this was. SMH.
This is such a good drama, I didn't expect to love all 50 episodes but here I am ?, I loved the storyline although I didn't read the book, I totally reccomend it to those who love fantasy and plot driven dramas also to those who keep SKIPPING this drama on their to watch list (I'm guilty)please watch it you won't regret. I felt every emotions the characters felt and I don't think the CG was that bad only some parts haha but still rating it a full 10/10. WWX and LWJ are truly amazing and the bromance is soooooo ufhrbejrjd good!!
It was a really good drama if you like plot twists and family betrayals. I loved the story and acting was on point.
Im Soon Hyang's acting and emotions were amazing, it's so different from Gangnam Id although, in both of these dramas her acting is phenomenal. Her expressionless emotion of sitting in the chair when being revealed as the grandfather's daughter gave me chills. The storyline is great.
I felt bad for Mo Wan Soo, the neglection of being worthless drove him insane and the fact him being the black sheep of the family caused him to lose control. Although, that doesn't justify his actions. All of the family members were f-ed up except the teenager. To keep it simple, affairs complicate relationships which leads to this drama.
